Kind of pricey. Seems pricey for the type of shrimp they give. My wife is from Sinaloa and she makes the same dishes but is very different. They had the tortillas soaking in grease, which the dishes do not call for. The baja taco was fried fish, the quesadilla gobernadora, was nothing like what I expected.

I feel the attractive part about it is the fact that the food is made fresh, not frozen. But even then, if you are looking for grease free, fresh fish and shrimp, this will not be the place. Maybe get a cocktail or something that does not involve tortillas. I think many people like the place because, although they do not serve alcohol, they allow you to drink it and right across the street there is a store where you can buy alcohol.

I paid $55 dollars...

I had the privilege of eating here last week. After the 1st couple of bites of the baja 🌮 taco, I realized that it was exactly what I was craving 😋 before I knew it was what I was craving 😅.

They use 5 different types of fish 🐟 for their dishes. Every dish is well balanced, and neither "over" or "under" cooked. All the ingredients 'pair and pop ' from each other.

It's only a matter of time before this restaurant becomes an Austin staple and grows into something more.

Great option for catering considerations.

If you want to "switch it up" from the normal options available in South Austin and are in the mood for seafood, this is the place to discover...

I’ve been hearing about this place for quite some time now.. I’m from California but I have friends from Texas that come visit and they praise this place! I recently visited those friends in Texas and finally got to see what they meant. This place is worthy of praise! Hands down better than any of the other food trucks I’ve had in Texas and better than any I’ve been to in Southern California. Not only was the service genuinely friendly, I could tell that the workers are passionate about their customers and the food that they serve. Just by the friendly service and the authentic taste in each bite. This is my new go to spot next time...

📍El Marisquero One of the best seafood trucks in South Austin. From amazing batter fried fish tacos to ceviche plates, while sponsoring with 6th Sense Bakery for their amazing Turtle Cheesecake. #fish #shrimp #austin #texas #seafood #foodtruck #cheesecake

The mango ceviche is incredible. They were out of the special sauce made for it the first time I got it… but they substituted it for the aqua chile verde… and now the I have had both(both amazing) I personally prefer the chile verde because it is so bright. The Baja taco is the best out of the fish tacos. The staff is so nice and helpful!!! Pro Tip: they have a table of sauces and there is a homemade sauce that is light green with dark green flakes. Ask for sauce cups if you are taking Togo. This sauce needs to be bottled and sold in HEB. It is cilantro, an almost cheesy note, and a slight spice… INCREDIBLE. They run out… that good.

Found this place by chance looking through photos, and talking to some locals we were sitting next to at El Marisquero, they were surprised we were able to track down this place as its a fav among locals. No frills, you order at the truck and then find a place to sit. Portions are huge, so we went a bit overboard for two people getting 4 tacos (2 fish and 2 shrimp) and 2 tostados with fish and octopus. Next time we would probably only consider 1 taco and maybe the tostados to share. Photo is of a half eaten tostados and two fish tacos in the centre to give you an idea of portions and the pure deliciousness!
