I dont usually leave a review on places. But I was very disappointed on the service I got here. I had booked an appointment for 3 people. I came in to get new set of acrylics my old ones were kinda grown out. The lady that gave me the service was peeling my nails off with other acrylics pieces it was hurting my nails a lot. I don't like confrontation because I think is rude but my mistakes of me, if im paying a huge amount of money I should get the type of good quality service but I didn't. After showing my first design what I wanted she gave me a look and told me she didn't know how to do it so I went to my second choice of design and she took my phone and talked about something with other employees and came back and just made me feel like I couldn't get it so I went and chose the most easiest design anyone can do and my nails still came out differently than the design. I've chose the easiest one for her since she didn't know other ways. She was rushing through my nails never filed or cut or clean my cuticles. Was working around a messy area after she put the new set she filed my nails to thin to my liking and made them to pointy and sharp that I knew I wasn't going to last a week with them. As she kept filing my nails so much she cut and hurt my pinky finger of how much she kept going over it. The design was to have a thin French tip but she did it like half of the nail and the lines were not even curved the same all 4 nails looked different than the others. Also the whole time she was being rough with my hand instead of feeling relaxed she kept holding my hand so tight and kinda hurting me with how she kept pulling my hand hard. Now with my friends they did get a some what better treatment service but the quality of their nails was just so bad they made the nails to thin too. Both of our nails broke the next day that it wasn't just worth the go and pay for the bad quality we got. I payed 263$ for 2 people I feel bad for not leaving a tip but gosh the service was so bad and hurt me so much. But after our nails broke I just feel more hurt and upset with the place and the amount of money that I paid. I've Gone to other nail places before where I paid 143$ for 2 people and the nails lasted me 3 weeks and I could've gone longer with them but I like to get mine fixed after they grown. People have their own opinions and reviews but with me it just was a bad service and quality. I wouldn't suggest or come back to this place. Still on the search for a good nail spa place sad that Queen spa wasn't the place.. was offered to come back and get them fixed but after a badly treatment I don't think I can trust them.

As an out-of-town bride who used to live in Austin but never had a go-to salon, I was borderline obsessive in researching where to go prior to my wedding. I landed on Queen Spa due to the overall high reviews and pictures of their work. The good: Our appointment was at 9, right when they opened, but I called about 10 minutes before to let them know that we were running behind and they seemed understanding. The techs were fairly friendly, everything seemed sanitary and the salon itself is beautiful. The ladies who did my manicure and pedicure did a nice job, particularly the girl who did my toes (I believe her name was Ruby). The not-so-great: While we did walk in late, around 9:15-9:20 (admittedly our fault and we were very apologetic), we were rushed into picking our colors and told one of the other parties was coming right after us. Instead of feeling like they cared about us as customers, we felt like they were rushing to get through us so they could focus on the next group. The manager kept making comments about how we only had two people and she thought we would have four (I had booked for 4 and didn’t know until that morning that two of my bridesmaids had already gotten their nails done back home). When the second bridal group came in, they were immediately offered mimosas and ushered to a more private area. Nobody offered us mimosas or anything. For my nails, I showed multiple pics of the color I wanted for my nails and while they did a nice job, it’s definitely not the rose-pink color I asked for and is more of an ombré French tip instead. My tech didn’t clean up my cuticles and I had to ask for someone to fix them after I paid since they were visibly ragged. My bridesmaid’s nails were awful; she asked for rounded nails and her shape was more of an octagon, and polish was left around her cuticles. Unfortunately our afternoon was booked with other commitments, otherwise I would have asked them to redo hers. An okay experience but overall disappointed for the amount of time and money spent. I wanted to treat myself and my bridesmaid to a nice experience for such a big day and we were left pretty disappointed.

The most rushed and overwhelming nail appointment I’ve ever had. I came here on a Wednesday evening with an appointment and was rudely greeted by the front desk employee from the get go. While my nails were drying, the manager asked me to move to the lobby. I informed her that my nails were still drying and I wasn’t finished with my manicure yet. She said she knew that and still asked me to move to the lobby. I tried to very carefully grab my belongings and move to the lobby without bumping my nails and ruining them. The front desk employee then did my cuticle oil in the lobby and told me I was done. I asked about a sink because my hands were covered in oil, and at other salons it’s always been standard to wash your hands after the cuticle oil. She then directs me to a disgusting sink in the back that clearly isn’t meant for public use and had no paper towels/towels. Several of the nails have broken off like in the photo and I’ve gone to other salons to fix them. It seems like the acrylics are expired or brittle because the nails are doing this without force; I’ve just looked down and they’re broken off. Lastly, it was overpriced and painful to pay that much given the quality of experience and product. The salon was clearly overbooked and it was frustrating to be treated as a burden rather than a paying customer. I came hoping to de-stress from work and left feeling more stressed and overwhelmed than when I came in. This could be a one off situation but this experience was bad enough that I will not be returning.
