Awesome place to get out in nature but stay basically in town. Not crowded either compared to other Austin trails (at least when we went at 7am on a Tuesday). There are a lot of little off shoots of the main trail so it can be easy at times to get off course, but I used all trails to make sure we stayed on track. Parts of the trail are rocky and might be hard to do on a bike, but other large sections would be awesome on a mountain bike or gravel bike. It is an out and back trail and probably would take around 4 hours to hike the whole thing and back. We only did about 4 miles of the trail. If you park close to the trailhead, it looks like you have to pay for parking. I parked way on the other side of the parking lot and didn’t see anything that said we needed to pay… so we didn’t 🤷🏻♂️. Really awesome trail. 10/10...

The trail is in great shape -- until the very end near 360, where some restoration is happening. Stiill, it's well marked and easy to find the path through. Great shady canopy, wide trails, most of the way. Occasional trail runners, mountain bikers, dog walkers. spots to stop and watch some rock climbing. Overall, my new plan is to park at 360 and hike to Barton Springs for a refreshing...

Rocky path but easy to navigate, excellent peaceful views when the river is in flow. Sure to...
