Arepa World — Restaurant in Austin

I’ve traveled extensively to Colombia over the past several years, visiting family and friends and exploring countless local restaurants and food stands, so I know a thing or two about arepas. After hearing great things about this Venezuelan food truck, I decided to give it a try yesterday. I ordered two servings of tequeños (5 in each order) and the Boss Hog arepa, which features pulled pork, pickles, onions, cheese, and an absolutely phenomenal sauce.

Let me tell you—this food is truly exceptional. The tequeños were perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully cheesy inside. But the Boss Hog arepa was on another level entirely. Venezuelan arepas are typically thicker and stuffed generously compared to their Colombian counterparts, and this one exemplified that beautifully. The pork was incredibly tender, the sauce packed a punch of flavor, and even though I typically don’t care for onions, I found myself savoring every bite. These arepas easily stand among the best I’ve ever tasted.

Amazing Food, Great Service, and a Welcoming Atmosphere!

I recently visited Arepa World. and I was beyond impressed! The arepas were absolutely delicious crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and filled with fresh, flavorful ingredients. They have a great variety, catering to both traditional tastes and healthier options.

The service was top notch; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or a relaxing dining experience.

Located very close to downtown and Zilker Park, so that was nice because I needed a late lunch and a quick step from the office (home 😛). My friend got the vegan arepa with seared tofu in a glaze sweet sauce. I got a Venezuelan version of a chicken quesadilla called La Blondie. Really juicy and a great amount for the price. We shared a healthy version of their Tequeños which are similar to mozzarella sticks. Really yummy especially with the yogurt sauce.

Definitely a healthy meal and great prices! Will recommend to anyone if you are around...
