The Escape Room Catalina was one of our favorite things to do for our daughter’s 12th birthday trip. The host was very personable and funny. Each room had its own unique challenges, and was very engaging. It’s great for families, friends, and even strangers. We ended up with a family we didn’t know because we didn’t hit private, so if you want it with just people you know, make sure you check the right box. In the end, it was fun having another family to sail with!

Looking for a fun adventure to do with you family? Look no further! Our family had a great time together at Don’s Escape Room in Catalina. Really fun for all ages, my husband and I brought our 20y, 13y, and 2y. We’ve been doing escape rooms for about 15 years and over 30 plus escape rooms, definitely a must-do experience!

Really well done. It’s challenging but the employees also give you lots of hints at their own discretion (I guess judging by your expertise). The photo ops are cool and there is a giant world map where you can mark your place of origin!

This was the best escape room I've been to. If you're going to Catalina, this is a must-do. The clues are cryptic, complex and clever and the attention to detail and adherence to the pirate theme is perfect. There were plenty of tasks for a team of people to tackle simultaneously and those tasks ranged from feats of intellect and skill alike. And look, I was nowhere near the MVP of my team, but even I felt like I contributed something because every task gave even the weakest teammate a fighting chance to help out and make a small contribution to the overall effort. Whether you're smart or dumb, young or old, a leader or a follower, excited or unenthused, playing with purpose or passively participating with your group, you're sure to contribute something to your team's effort! But don't get me wrong, it's still very challenging, but win or lose, it's so fun, you'll feel like a winner no matter what and you'll definitely walk away feeling the experience was worth it!

If it's a pirate's life for you, then this is definitely the escape...

My husband and I took our three kids on a 4 day cruise, and due to having a 4 year old there were not a ton of excursions we were able to sign up for. I searched things to do on Catalina Island for families and came across the Escape room. It looked very unique and different than ones we had done in the past, as a bonus there was no age limit as long as an adult was with the child! We have done escape rooms in the past, but this was by far our favorite! It was so interactive a so much fun! All of us were able to solve a piece of the puzzle EVEN the four year old found clues! Highly recommend, and the staff was pleasant to work with. We booked a room 3-4 weeks in advance, so not sure if you waited until the last minute if you would be...

Very, very fun. We had a group of 2 adults and 8 kids age 5-12. My kids and our nieces and nephews really enjoyed this experience. It is not scary. Totally family friendly. It is a little dark and claustrophobic if you have a larger group. The puzzles and riddles are somewhat difficult. I would definitely recommend an adult or two go with the group to help them complete the challenges. I was a little stressed out. Some of the kids in our group were getting frustrated. Overall, so much fun. But... Be prepared for lots of chaos, arguing and confusion. Lol It's about an hour long and you will likely take the entire time, or close to it. Pictures and certificates of completion end the event. It is sort of a one time thing. Not bad. I'd...
