Disappointing Charter Experience for the Price
We booked this charter expecting a professional trip, but it fell short in a few key areas.
First, the captain didn’t come prepared with enough bait to last the entire trip, which cut into our fishing time and made the last portion of the outing feel unproductive.
Second, it was clear the captain had limited experience targeting lobster. There wasn’t much guidance or confidence in technique, and it didn’t seem like he had much background in that type of fishing.
Finally, I was surprised to learn that the captain didn’t plan to process or clean the catch. I’m not sure if that’s standard for this operation, but I’ve never been on a charter where the crew didn’t at least fillet the fish or prepare the lobster for transport.
Overall, for the price we paid, the experience felt sub-par compared to other charters I’ve been on. A little more preparation, experience, and service follow-through would...
Read moreIf you do nothing else while on Catalina Island, come visit Catalina Xtreme Parasail. The experience is nothing short of life-changing. Steph was so kind and understanding while checking us in, and once we got onto the boat, Frankie and David changed our lives forever. Upon being lifted into the air, I began to feel a tingling in my body. Every skin blemish, scar, and creaky joint in my body began to fix itself. By the time we touched down onto the boat 10 minutes later, I had gained 20 lbs of muscle and had become noticeably more attractive. Upon looking through my financials later that night, my checking account balance appears to have doubled. But the real shocker came when the next morning, our friend who is paralyzed from the waist down could move his legs! He has since stopped using a wheelchair and is training to be an Olympic triathlete. I can't recommend Catalina Xtreme...

David and Jackson were the crew that took care of us. If you want to dip your feet in the water, be sure to mention to them. It’s optional, dipping or no dipping. I chose not to dip. In hindsight, probably would have enjoyed it even more if I were to dip lol.
Note: -You can save $30. Ask your fellow parasailers to take your photos and offer to do the same for them. Great trade off. -For those who are from the cruise, booking via the ship staff is much more expensive. Buy your parasailing excursion through this place, only $59/person. Plus birthday person (free), inquire within. -Can be a little cold (depending on the weather and the time of day), be sure to dress accordingly.
Loved, loved, loved my experience,...
