Catalina Island Visitor Center — Attraction in Avalon

Hi I Love Catalina Island and grew up on the mainland and coming over to Catalina for over 55 years. I have a concern because I love the Island very much. I have written before regarding this situation. We are actually on the Island now and there is a major problem with the bees over here. I’ve asked that the trash cans and recycle bins have some type of door flap installed as the bees seem to be feeding off of these containers. It was very unpleasant to continually be bombarded all day long by these bees when walking around or sitting trying to enjoy the Island. If you will please address this issue ASAP as I’m sure many others have had this same experience. All trash and recycled containers should have some type of strong door flap installed to keep the bees away from them and off the streets and walkways as much as possible on Catalina.
