Catalina Tour Guide - Guided Golf Cart Tours — Local services in Avalon

On Sunday, June 15, our friend Annie had booked a Catalina Island Golf Island Tour for us through this company. Only having been to Catalina twice, once when I was 9 and then in 2024, I was completely clueless about the island's history and what it had to offer. Let me start by saying the staff is amazing. Our original tour was planned for the 14th of June, and I woke up with food poisoning that morning, very sick. I mean, who needs a beach vacation when you can spend it worshiping the porcelain god? I managed to make it onto the Catalina Express only to turn around and leave. I was devastated, I thought we were going to miss out on this great adventure, but I just couldn't hang. I called and texted the company, hoping, praying they'd show some compassion, and they did. They were so kind as to let me reschedule for the following day. I wish I knew who I was messaging, but I never got a name, as well as the sweet lady who called me. So, we made it to the island on Sunday morning. I was feeling 100% and ready to go. Our tour guide Leticia met us at the discussed location at 9:15 sharp. She was very sweet and concerned that we had missed our prior reservation, but happy that we made it. I mean, she was so nice I wanted to adopt her. I cant even tell you all the places we saw. So much to take in. Letty was very knowledgeable, having been a resident of the island for 35+ years. Anything we asked, she knew the answer to. Just to name a few, we saw the house Norma Jean loved in during 1943/44, the Catalina Chimes Tower, Wrigley Memorial, Pet Cemetery, House in the shape of California, the Wrigley Mansion, and so much more. Educated on the gas prices on the island, the wait time to bring a car onto the island, and educated us on the Bison on the island. She offered to take our photos throughout the tour, which was so thoughtful. I mean, who doesnt love a good photo op? I cant say enough about her, she was an amazing tour guide. Our friend Annie was correct, everyone here was great! Ive already recommended yall to a few friends who will be visiting during the summer. I highly recommend this company! Shortly after my sister, cousin, and I (1st time to Catalina for me and my sister) departed our ferry, we quickly realized that we were not going to be able to see as much as we wanted to on foot before we were going to have to return to our ferry a few hours later. We started googling and contemplated renting a golf cart, but knew we’d have no idea where we were going. Fortunately, googling led us to this company, and even though it was totally last minute, we were able to book a 2 hour private guided golf cart tour. Best decision ever! Our tour guide soon reached out to us to let us know that she would pick us up wherever we were. Once we hopped aboard, we got to see so much, gained a wealth of knowledge, and made many stops along the way for scenic pictures. The icing on the cake was our tour guide Janeece! Because she lives on the Island, we got to see and hear about everything local, not just touristy stuff. She also was incredibly friendly and beyond patient with our never ending questions....

We had a great time on our tour with Dudley! He was extremely knowledgeable of the entire island and shared many of his previous experiences living and working on the island all of his life. Highly recommend taking this guided tour over renting a golf cart on your own as it provided us some much more content and an overall great experience for our time in port.
