This is one of the worst restaurants you will find in this whole world. Let me start with my worst experience of whole vacation. This restaurant ruined my entire day on the island. Went to this restaurant with my family thinking it is a nice restaurant. But to my surprise I have never had such bad experience in my whole life.
First thing when we got there and requested for a table outside they gave one but we had to pick our spoons and forks by ourselves to sit on a requested table.
Second we ordered drinks they were fine and not at all worth the price.
Third the only good thing they are using to advertise them is the beach view but apart from nothing good so far.
Ordered food and got multiple stones in the clamshell and mussels.
Finally when I tipped in a range of 10-15% instead of 18% the waiters head and probably the owner at least from what he was claiming started giving me lecture on how I should tip while I go in such restaurant. I was little surprised on how can he come to me and ask to tip more than 18%. Lectured me about how he needs to pay his workers for the work they do base on the tips.
No where on the restaurant entrance mentioned that 18% tip is mandatory. No where is the law that customer should pay every-time 18% even though they are treated so miserably with such bad food with stones in it.
After he lectured me, I decided to increase the tip to 18% by being polite but the owner was so stubborn that he didn’t accepted my increase in tip and asked my entire family rudely to leave immediately so that they can have new customers on that table but there were no new customers in line waiting to be seated.
Due to such restaurants I have lost interest in eating outside where the restaurant are neat and clean and take advantage of location around them but are very terrible in treating customers. This restaurant is a perfect example of the kind.
I will suggest to everyone never go to this restaurant or any...
Read moreMy friend and I (party of 7) visited Catalina for the day, and for dinner we decided to visit the Bluewater Grill. shortly after being seated, they took our orders and brought our food right away.
Upon inspection six of our plates did not meet our expectations or our satisfaction by any means , one of our parties plates which was gumbo was edible, And another plate, which was the stake asked to be cooked, medium well and came back rare . 3 plates were missing specific modifications and were cold and temperature. And one plate which was the fish and chips were completely overcooked. When we kindly asked to speak to a manager The manager rushed our conversation and offered us a round of free drinks. We accepted the free drinks until we received our rare steak and our bill which was completely wrong.
We had to send our check back four times because our items were not ringing up properly. My whole party was dissatisfied while we wasted three hours at Bluewater Grill trying to have our bill corrected. After we felt that our time was being wasted, we went up to the front to have another manager look at our bill. The other manager rushed us again and gave us attitude. We tried to show Grace, but it was not being reciprocated by the staff team at Bluewater Grill. As we were expressing our problems with the manager, 3 host in the front we’re making unprofessional comments and laughing at our discussion. I feel that this restaurant is completely unprofessional with horrible customer service. Unacceptable food and unwelcoming environment. I strongly advise that you do not come to...
Read moreHands down the best seafood serving restaurant with great ambience on the island. We stopped by on Sunday for dinner and they do not take reservations so it is first come first serve or you can put your name on their list and they will text/call you when your table is ready. We had an amazing table not too close to the water, outdoors such that we had a gorgeous view of the ocean.
We ordered their Adobada Seabass (seasonal menu item - Adobo marinade topped with char-grilled pineapple salsa served over coconut ginger rice), Chipotle Blackened Swordfish (Chipotle dirty rice topped with corn avocado relish) & their Maryland style crab cakes (Remoulade, scallion oil and micro greens). I devoured their crab cakes and could eat several of these all day long. Next I loved their adobada seabass. It was delicious bursting with flavors and that pineapple salsa just elevated the flavors to the next level. The chipotle blackened swordfish was good too but was a tad under seasoned and I expected better flavors from their chipotle dirty rice and also their swordfish. Still it was good. For drinks, we ordered the Apple Pie Old Fashioned and the Captain's Mai Tai. Both the drinks we good.
If I stop by the island again, I will come here to eat their delicious crab cakes which are one of the best I have ever had. Fresh seafood, a little pricey but thats they price you pay to eat good fresh seafood. Wait can get ridiculous (we had 1.5 hrs wait) and service can be slow. I would still recommend to stop by this place and give them a try. One of the few restaurants on the island serving...
