7 Senses Massage — Attraction in Aventura

7 Senses spa came up as the best rated massage place near my home on a google search. I call them right away based on the perfect reviews. I am a working mother of two and came to unwind and decompress but after my experience I felt compelled to share my feedback as it may help other clients to avoid the frustration and have a relaxing experience instead.

The place is new, has a soothing ambiance about it and looked very clean.

What took me by surprise is the lack of professionalism. I have never had a masseuse texting in the middle of my massage. I realized she was texting when 10 min into the massage, Alise , my therapist, kept reaching out to the table and only used one hand on my back. When she stopped the whole massage abruptly, I got up to see what’s happing and saw her fully engaged in texting. When I asked if I should reschedule for another time since she looked busy with her personal stuff, she said no and proceeded to continue my massage. Meanwhile her phone kept vibrating next to my head from non stopping incoming messages. She kept looking at the screen but refrained from texting. I was very frustrated by that point but decided to try to enjoy the rest of the massage. And then her phone rang. Instead of turning it off, Alise took a phone call which lasted another few minutes. At that point I couldn’t relax at all. Oh, and she had to cut off my massage early because her next client came in and she left me to greet him, then returned back to tell me I was done.

I was charged full price without any apologies.

I hope management will take notes and some measures to keep a more professional...

Have come here several times and always paid $70. Today I was asked if I wanted deep tissue or Swedish I asked what the differnce was and was told one is deeper. I proceeded with the deep tissue when I was ready to leave they charge me $80 - I asked why the price was higher and they told me because it was deep massage. They asked my therapist is she had informed me of the price and she lied to my face saying she had and proceeded to be sarcastic and passive aggressive.

My friend was in the restroom when I paid and missed the converstion. When it was her turn to pay same situation plus 4 employees aggressively attacking her verbally. When she asked why the price they asked her "but do you feel good" - not the point, its a matter of principal.

They proceeded to aggressively argue with us 4 employees arguing- Massage ruined!!

My other friend (3 of us went) was charged $70 for the very same deep tissue massage- we all had an hour massage she was the last one to go in and the first to come out - so they cheated her on the time

In addition I shared the room with one of my friends and the therapist spent the entire massage chit chatting and laughing. The so called deep tissue was a regular massage and the hot stones they offered just sat in the middle of my back and where never used to actually masaage.

I won't be back and I suggest you find a more respectable business...

It was a painful massage. I tried to explain that I had back pain, and she didn't understand me. At some point of the massage, she was on top of me, which was very weird to me. But I assumed it was part of a deep tissue massage and that the pain was good. What was not okay at all was that the masseuse pressured me into doing cupping without explaining the treatment properly and warning me of the side effects. She only said, "cupping, 30 $, good for you". I tried to ask her about this treatment before she started, but she didn't understand me or explain anything. I trusted her recommendation and now have big, round bruises all over my back and arms! It was tough to communicate with her because they don't understand or speak English. I tried to ask her about the bruises, and she said 30. Now I'm not sure if they'll be gone in 30 days! Not okay! I'm super upset and disappointed. I have plans for the upcoming days, and I'm not sure I'll handle them with all these bruises all over me. And after the massage, I felt dizzy and not well. Again, such a lack of care! They only care about the money. What happened to me was negligent. Please don't go...
