Of the Earth Apothecary — Attraction in Avon-by-the-Sea

No amount of stars can convey the power of this shop. It has changed my entire life and how I take care of myself. For 32 years, every ailment had an over the counter or prescription remedy until I made a decision to try to incorporate another route of herbal medicine. I'm not saying to get rid of all of your medicine! But if you are interested in supplementing your care with alternatives, I strongly encourage trying out the apothecary. For myself, it has morphed into a beautiful collection of tinctures and teas for a variety of symptoms I encounter from day to day and truly, nothing has ever helped me more. Aside from the healing that is offered through these products, the kind hearts that operate in the shop are always willing to help and discuss options and recommendations. When I find love, I want to spread that love. I found love in these offerings at the apothecary and I tell anybody and everybody who is interested in finding out for themselves. What started as a very troubling side effect to allergy medication became me talking about the allergy tincture and allergy tea specifically, to anybody in a similar struggle with their own allergies. When I learned those things helped me more than any over the counter medication, I started to try other things from the apothecary as well. I told some of the people in the apothecary that my pantry is always well stocked with products and I'm posting a photo because it wasn't just me blowing smoke. I love this place and everything they offer. It is not lost on me the hard work, intention and care that goes into creating these products. That's why I say it is nothing short of love. I love Of the Earth Apothecary and feel so fortunate that it is so close to my house. First off, the apothecary is so beautiful and cozy inside and smells lovely! It’s hard to find quality, sourced, loose herbs locally. The bulk wall of herbs is comprehensively. If you have any questions, the staff is very helpful and friendly.

I’m also a huge fan of their super powders. The blends are great and have become a staple in my kitchen. The skincare products have been a game changer for me. I have sensitive skin and often have reactions to products. The ingredient list in these products is short and I know what I’m getting. These products are clean and well made.

I had a fantastic time and visit at this location, Lauren was tremendously knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with. The selection is very diverse, a tremendously wide variety of herbs, tinctures, salts, candles, incense, etc. Very bright and inviting decor.
