My experience with Jewelry by the Sea was deeply disappointing, and I feel it’s important to share.

After noticing that my engagement ring was visibly crooked and off-centered, I contacted the owner, Yetkin, to express my concerns. I expected a respectful conversation — instead, I was met with unprofessionalism and outright rudeness.

Rather than listening or offering a solution, Yetkin raised his voice, was condescending, and completely dismissed my concerns. He was not only disrespectful to me, but also to my fiancé, and made the entire situation unnecessarily upsetting. I was visibly distressed during the call, and instead of diffusing the situation or showing any understanding, he continued to belittle me. The entire call is documented on video, and frankly, his behavior speaks volumes.

There is no excuse for treating a customer this way, especially when the issue involved such a meaningful and personal item. I would strongly caution anyone considering working with this store. My fiancé worked with Yetkin and Eimilie to create the custom engagement ring of my dreams!! I sent him a few pictures of what I liked -- an oval diamond with a halo around it and what Yetkin and Eimilie created was more beautiful than any picture I've ever seen online. I can't begin to tell you how many compliments I get on my ring on a daily basis. Everyone who looks at it says it's one of the most beautiful rings they've ever seen and I couldn't agree more. They were so amazing to work with and walked him through the process every step of the way, explaining everything and making sure he felt comfortable making such a big investment. He said it was surprisingly stress-free, all thanks to them. We also got our wedding bands from them and our families go to them for their jewelry needs (my future mother-in-law had them made beautiful custom diamond cufflinks for our wedding!). Their prices are very reasonable and they can work within any budget -- they don't do what so many other jewelers do where they mark up the price an absurd amount.
