Avondale Plaza — Attraction in Avondale

Meat and produce are priced well, particularly on Wednesday when fruit and veggies are on sale. I do however resent the fact that FOOD CITY acts like other cultures that are not Hispanic don't shop there. They make IT EXTREMELY CLEAR that they only care about Hispanic customers. It is an obvious snub to black folks and anyone's else not of Hispanic origin. There are afro Hispanics so they may not feel the same way. Staff is not particularly helpful and never ask them for assistance in finding an item. Also, the window for serving financial transactions is not open...

This plaza is pretty spacious and the parking lot is huge (which makes coming in and out easy). They have a Filiberto's, a pizza spot, and some business offices such as a loan office. The main attraction is the Food City grocery store. In spite of being spread out and large, the plaza was bustling during the weekend. It was busy and even the area it's in is busy. A note is that the area and plaza did seem a bit rough. Also, exterior-wise, it didn't look as aesthetically pleasing and had a bit rough-on-its edges feel and not as clean as some other plazas...

Always enjoy coming to this store locating. Friendly and the pharmacy crew is amazing. No standing in long lines for the pharmacy. I just walk in go straight to the window and request my pick up and I'm out less than three min. Amazingly Amazing. This is not the first time that I have experienced this type of service at this pharmacy location. It will beat out cvs, fry's, and Walgreens hands down. This is my pharmacy to get my med at. Been with them over a year and the same service. Amen thanks...
