To begin with I never write and post reviews of businesses, even if its been a less than desirable experience.
I will start by saying that I had been going to Elements for about a year, every two weeks getting my nails and toes done. I am generally pretty easy about who does my nails. I do believe this business is a cut above the rest, I appreciate the attention to detail and overall quality of their work.
With that being said, I unfortunately had such a terrible experience when I went in yesterday to get a pedicure and my nails either filled or get a new set. When the nail technician looked at my hands/ nails she did little to hide her contempt for how dry my hands looked and felt. I did advise them I was doing yardwork earlier in the morning, which of course doesn't help my dry hands. Nonetheless, I was passed off to another tech who sat there and looked at my hands for several minutes talking amongst themselves. I unfortunately cannot remember his name, but generally speaking he wears alot of LOGO wear. So he asked me where I had my nails done cause the work was so bad, I advised the tech that I had them done @ ELEMENTS. He did not believe me, I told him where I sat, what the other tech looked like, what day was I there.....he was adamant that I didn’t originally get my nails done there! I was like "YO" chill out. I felt as though I was an errant child trying to convince their parent that I didn't break the lamp in the living room type beat........ You know I did not appreciate the way I was treated, like I didn't know what I was talking about, And then while I had my hand under the UV light I accidentally dinged my finger nail, leaving an indentation on the polish. This happened on two different fingers. Well he could barely contain his disgust. I felt like I was being treated like the village idiot. He was so impatient with me. Its a shame cause the work he did was great, but I will never go back after the way...
Read moreHonestly I has really high hopes based off the reviews and my acrylic came out cute. However, when I called to schedule an appointment for myself and my friend for pedicures they gave us the price of 28 dollars + 15 for full set of acrylic on the toes.
When we went in the price went from 28 to 30, no big deal, but the acrylic when from 15 for a full set to 17 for just the big toes. So that was very off putting.
I added a full set of acrylic for my nails because I couldn't get my toes without my nails, they were decent pricing for just the full set with no gel and it took a total of 20 mins. 2 days later and my nails are already starting to come off which is absolutely mind blowing as I have never had this problem before. My natural nails are sticking out the side of some pieces as well, noticeably.
When getting my pedicure done the women was completely rude and impatient, couldn't have a second to look at the colors to try to find a matching color to my nails. So I ended up picking something similar. There are a couple of nails that are bubbled, and that's fine I don't expect it to be perfect. My the lady doing my friends toes was so rough and dug so much into her toe it was painful. Then there was another woman there having her toes done as well was explaining to her tech that the man removing her nails refused to buff them down for her. The women doing her toes ended up buffing and filing them for her.
I personally will not be going...
Read moreWent in today to get a full set and pedicure. The guy that did my pedicure was great, the guy that did my manicure was a whole different story. He was rude, pushy and apparently got upset that I did not want to get gel and decided to get regular nail polish. He kept saying how regular polish will chip faster and they wont dry as fast bewcause im guessing they wanted me to get a pricier service. He stated that regular polish will take about an hour to dry which I believe was a lie due to myself getting my full set with regular polish several times before and only taking 15 to 20 min to dry. When he was finished he didn't tell me anything he just proceeded with the next client. Until I asked him if I was done and he stated "yes yes go over there " to pay. I then asked him well are you going to dry the nails or do you have a station to dry them and he stated they didn't because they don't really do regular polish they mostly do powder and gel. Which I do not understand if EVERYWHERE I've been they have the machine to dry your nails. Then asked the owner again and he smirked and said no we don't have anything to dry nails. He told me we have that fan which wasn't a small fan that some places use it was a big office water fan? Like what kind of customer service is that. I hate writing reviews but this one just bothered me so much I would like other customers...
