This place is unbelievably bad. I finally cancelled my order after 35 minutes, everyone else had their food, but it was served at 5-10 minute intervals. -Chips and Salsa served, about 15 chips for a table of 5 people. -drinks served intermittently -food served at odd intervals -cancelled Sinaloa Sushi after 35 minutes. Lots of apologizing, but no indication that there would be an extended order time for this. -we could only find very faint remnants of any kind of meat on 3 different orders. Only potato and very large mounds of shredded lettuce on everything. No difference in flavor or filling from different items. I really don't understand how this place has a 4.7 star rating - it is the worst food experience I have had in Phoenix in 2 years. Maybe people really like potatoes boiled in beef broth? The picture shows a tostada with the mound of lettuce removed - see if you can find any meat . . .
In response to the Mi Cocina Team - potatoes and shredded lettuce are NOT a substitute for meat in any part of Mexico where I have traveled. I have been to almost every part of Mexico, multiple times, every Central American Country, and much of South America - nowhere have I found anything that resembles what is being served at this restaurant. (The native Mexicans in my party were also baffled by the potato/lettuce offerings.) No, I was not informed of an extended prep time on the so-called Sushi until 35 minutes after ordering; and at this point I am quite relieved that it never made its way...

Authenticity from the minute you walk in to a lively, impeccably clean ambiance complete with some old Spanish music faves.
I order a pineapple Aqua Fresca and it satisfies my palate w itās fresh and tart yet sweet taste quenching that AZ thirst. Iām loving the ideal portion of chips and mildly warm salsa (mildly spicy, packed w flavor).
Traditional Chilaquiles call for a red sauce, but Iāve always been partial to the green tomatillo sauce, I inquire if the switch up is possible and am pleased to hear it is. The chips are perfectly crunchy and sauced; the green salsa has an insanely tasty flavor w a bit of spice to follow. The chicken diced perfect for mixing into the chilaquiles and pork beans, (DO order these when here). The beans were a last minute sub for their traditional retried and may I say well worth it! Packed w flavor and the consistency is great, not too runny.
Overall a wonderful experience. The young lady at the desk was attentive, respectful, and polite. MOst def a new fave spot delicious of mine š and will be returning fairly soon.
Thank you all for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLooking for Mexican breakfast on Google Maps, we found this restaurant. The reviews were positive so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! It is a small place, not fancy but full of good vibes and great service. Marena greeted us upon arrival and let us choose where to sit. We ordered 2 coffees right away and they promptly came, in a big mug and with the notice from Marena that she was already making more, just in case we wanted some. Glancing over the menu I quickly spotted some Huevos Rancheros and decided on them. My wife went with the Chilaquiles w/Chicken. Both were great!!! The refried beans w/pork were both a first for us and a very tasty complement to both dishes. My wife Chilaquiles were awesome, not smothered in sauce like other places, crispy and tasty as well as the chicken in them.
A very good first time in this restaurant. Marenaās service was attentive and courteous and we will most definitely be back to try some other...
