April 19th, 25, so I entered Ulta Beauty to get mascara looked into the clearance section. Found a NYX Makeup “Beetlejuice” liquid Duo Liner with no label for price or barcode. Mind you this might be a seasonal item no longer selling. I headed to make my purchase of other items plus ask about the price of the “beetlejuice” liner. The females in the front asked a manager & she told them the item can not be sold to me due to them not having a barcode. Mind you there’re many other items in the clearance section with marked down stickers. As I make my way to the area of NYX makeup section. To see for a possible box or something that had a barcode. The manager then approaches me asking if I had a problem. I had my phone in my hand to possible item online for the item and found it. She also proceeds to tell me not to record her when I was NOT RECORDING my phone was simply in my hand because I was looking for the item online. She was very rude and unprofessional, I personally have never experienced this type of rudeness since Ulta beauty has opened. I ended up finding the item online $12, guess I’ll be purchasing it online now smh. It seems to me the manager did not want to do her job. Also as I’m walking out of the store. I was checking my receipt and they over charged me for a clearance item that was marked $2.49. Instead charged me $4.99. So dreading having to go back into the store to fix another issue that obviously needs attention in the area of clearance items. The managers lead by example and if she has attitude problem and unprofessional. Her workers are going to see that and perform the same way. Read moreI’ve been coming to this Ulta location for a couple of years now. Every time I’ve came the employees were always very helpful, polite and welcoming. The last time I visit this location, I did not have such a good visit. I came in the afternoon on 12/23/2022. I came in looking to get matched for a concealer. I went up to an employee asking if I could get help getting match. He looked at me up and down, turned around and ask another employee to help me. Now I would have understood if he was polite about it but he was giving off so much attitude and being arrogant over all. I ignored that incident and waited to get help from the employee that he ask to help me. She proceeded to walk me over to the concealer. I picked out two concealer shades that I thought I could use and I asked her which one she thought would fit me best. She said “whichever you want I don’t know” then asked if that was all I needed. I don’t know about you but that sounds rude and unprofessional to me. I’ve worked at Sephora in the past and although they are different companies I believe these two stores have similar values. Companies rely on the employees to make a good impression and to represent. These two employees definitely made an impression on me and not the good kind. I don’t think this is a managers fault but managers should definitely step in and talk to the employees about good customer service. The Lack of professionalism, complete absence of etiquette and the absurd lack of personal judgement from Ulta Beautys "Night Manager" Kimberly left me feeling offended, judged and overwhelmingly disappointed. How can company's operate with employees like this; why do they continue a working relationship with employees with such poor customer service skills. How can they turn a profit and retain repeat customers? It astonishes me how the Covid Pandemic has set the Bar extremely low for those who work In customer service. I literally went in one night after work to purchase some Cologne. Wasn't there long. Wasn't acting shady or doing anything to cause concern.Kimberly the night Manager Ended up calling security follow me around the store and even went as far as follow me out of the store. Don't know what I did that warranted this lack of respect and untrust. Maybe it's the way I looked. Or how I was dressed idk.
