Just Wing It - The Marketplace — Restaurant in Bakersfield

My family visited for the first time ever this week- 1/12/23- and we are LESS than impressed, and I totally feel like I wasted $70 of my hard earned $$$! We tried 5 wing flavors, of which weren’t very flavorful or satisfying (the lemon pepper, honey bourbon, and teriyaki flavors were weak…the Cajun & basic hot wing flavors were ok), the waffle fries were a total bust & very dry (my family of 3 ended up eating 3-4 fries each before we totally gave up on them; my son ate 1 and wld NOT eat more-and I purchased 2 large containers sadly 🥴), the fried pickles were GARBAGE!!!! 🗑 (there was a SUPER THIN pickle slice inside the overly fried, flavorless batter, and there were small, hard pieces throughout 🤬; I could not believe the cook thought it was ok to serve them to me), the skin on many of the chicken drumettes was too soft 🤢-I kinda despise that! Also worth a mention, when I order wings, I could do without some being the size of a small drumstick- that was weird for some reason to me 🤔), and even the ranch dressing was too watery w/a weak flavor! Moral of the story, we will NOT be returning! SAVE A TRIP AND YOUR $ and stick with WING STOP and their long delays! 🤷🏽‍♀️ At least you know you’re gonna consistently get some good wings/flavors, ranch is on point, good fries (if they’re your thing- I like to dip them in a mixture of the ranch&atomic sauces, lol), and your family is going to get a meal y’all will collectively enjoy! What else I will say about Just Wing It; the atmosphere is cool to watch a game with your guys & gals and have an alcoholic...

My experience here was so excruciating, let me tell you when I thought things couldn't get any worse. I sat to enjoy my beer and ignore the fact the waitress took so long to bring me my first beer. As I kept asking her to bring my beer she intensely gave me bad attitude. As if I was bothering her for something that was mine. . . I understand things can be so stressful in a environment like that but no one should feel wrong for asking for anything as a customer 😕. Again I tried to ignore that matter, and enjoy my time there. But something about the waitresses kept telling me that they don't care. They were so uptight, so angry and so bothered and brought us and other people the wrong drinks. 🙄 let me get to the point. Flies were swarming in the establishment and started attacking us and our food. So gracefully and peacefully I asked If we can have it shut . And all we got was well ask the manager sure enough the manager said no. The food I bought had to be thrown away and the manager ruby didn't satisfy us at all by bringing me a new plate. And making matters better because i am a customer and i wanted to enjoy my meal and maybe get treated as a customer but was not. Cause it was interrupting her time or whatever she had going on. She said she doesn't mind excluding it from the bill. But to me I felt very disrespected.. I have money and would of paid for my bill. And wanted to pay for my bill . I asked for names but they ignored us and my family and got treated...

Tried Just wing it for the first time today and to some up the review, it was just okay, not great and I don't think I'd come back.

The atmosphere of the place kinda feels like an empty buffalo wild wings and by that I mean it's like a wide open sports bar. The wings were better than buffalo wild wings though to be honest. Service was pretty quick and they constantly came to check on us so that was really good.

The bad mostly had to do with the wings. I got the 10pc wing combo with lemon pepper and original hot flavors. It came with a side so I ordered the Mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was decent, just a little runny if anything. When they brought the wings, I was shocked at how tiny the wings were (see the pictures I posted). At this point, I've been to Wingstop, BWW and Happy Wings in town. This has to be the SMALLEST wings I've ever seen.

They weren't filling or satisfying at all. Everytime I've been to Wingstop or Happy wings, I've ordered the 8pc and walked away stuffed. I was feeling extra hungry today so I decided to order the 10pc thinking it would be a lot of food, but the amount of food I got honestly felt like I ate a 6pc order of wings from Wingstop (hopefully that makes sense).

Considering the amount of food I got and the price I paid for everything, it's hard to recommend this place to anyone personally, because in my opinion there's much better...
