Wonder Theatre — Attraction in Balcones Heights

Yesterday, my husband, son, and I attended Wonder Theater for the very first time, and it was an experience we will never forget. I purchased tickets to Sweeney Todd as a gift for my husband’s 30th birthday, and it turned out to be one of the best productions I have seen in quite some time. The performance was absolutely mesmerizing, captivating, thrilling, and full of energy from beginning to end. The singing, in particular, was so heartfelt and powerful that it gave us goosebumps.

This was both my husband’s and our son’s very first theater show, and it left a lasting impression on them. My husband was overjoyed to finally experience a production of this caliber, and seeing the wonder in our son’s eyes made the evening even more meaningful.

This was my first time at Woodlake, I truly enjoyed the show. However the restrooms were not in good condition. Toilets appeared to have not been cleaned in a very long time. That definitely was not from a 1 - 2 day usage. And parking was difficult to find. Everywhere is no parking towing signs. We ended up parking down the street and around the corner from the theater in a far dark no light parking lot ouyside of a porch light at a house across the street, and just hoped our car would be there when we returned. The Woodlawn Theater is a fine source of wholesome and affordable entertainment for the entire family. It has something for most everyone. The Academy lays the groundwork for the young ones interested in the theater arts, helping them develop their skills as they perform in various productions throughout the year. For the seasoned artists, there are various opportunities to hone and perfect their craft. It is such a treat to see the joy and the passion in each one's performance.
