Just to clear things up step 2 of checking the skates was complete as it was the other 10 times he has been there we have receipts. The ref did not call the manager the manager called the ref over to get my husband off the floor again I have video and have video of how the situation was handled as well. I appreciate the response and am glad you have taken accountability but we have to be sure it’s taken for the right reasons them not being checked isn’t it. They were checked as all 10 times may have been over looked and they let him in and he skated every time and this particular manager decided it was time to enforce this which is still understand since you say it’s policy but let’s also have this be posted somewhere where we as customers are aware and let everyone especially the people checking the skates and management all be on the same page. That would be a great thing for everyone for communication to be clear and everyone in the same page so situations like this can be avoided.
I’m sad I have to leave this review but my husband and I come here often. My husband has a hobby of skating. Usually when we come we never have any issues and the staff are very pleasant. Every time he comes they check his skates and let him skate. This time we checked in they checked his skate like always (he has his own skates and this is what they do) well he then began skating. About 30 mins later the manager had one of the workers ask my husband to get off the floor and when he did she asked him what kind of wheels he had after he already had them checked. Well she said his wheels weren’t allowed. My husband said what do you mean? I have been here at least 10 times with the same skates and you just checked them at the door.
All of the people at the skating ring started coming to my husband saying man that’s not right you were skating so good. The manager made a whole scene about it. Then not only that but when my husband asked for his money back. She kept saying she couldn’t find it. As if he didn’t pay so my husband suggested she call the worker over that he paid with. Something she as a manger should have options to take care and solve these sorts of issues. She called the young lady over and the young lady said yes he paid at this register. In frustration she’s like well I can’t find it almost mad at the girl now. she was so argumentative even when the other workers were confused they said he comes here often she was not happy. She said well I’m not kicking you out. well mam what is it you’re doing? If he can’t use his skates your kicking him out.
So many people were coming over asking what was wrong because my husband was skating and people were enjoying watching him. This made her more mad and she said I’m the closing manager and I have never seen you here. Saying this even after her own staff confirmed it. She was just on a power trip and just nasty. Then on top of this the security guard was standing there as if my husband was a threat. So what I want to say after my husband being humiliated is management should take some customer service and maybe deescalation and communication classes. If his skates weren’t allowed then at the door they should have been declined when they were checked. All of the people there were upset at this and giving my husband high fives and saying sorry to him.
When not even management cared one bit to apologize even to other guests that were interrupted by her. All the other staff were even embarrassed at her behavior and I have video to show it. Treat your paying guests better. Post your policies and follow them. Most important learn customer service skills Cindy please. Overall everything has always been a good experience. I am writing this because Cindy thought to keep saying “everything was okay””it’s nothing” “it’s not a big deal” as if my husband shouldn’t feel any way, like what? It definitely is not okay. just don’t ever need managements assistance or have to cross paths with this...
Read moreThe jungle gym was nice but a few things I had to pay $10 extra for my infant to be in the jungle gym with her 4 year old brother in all the kid places around SA I have never been charged the same entrance fee for my infant as my 4 y/o Most places see an infant and allow them to go in for free with a sibiling seeing as they can’t actually do anything but sit and watch 🤦🏻♀️ And In my daughters case she is in 2 full leg braces so she’s extremely limited to what she can do I’d rather go to kids empire or urban air At least at those places my son isnt being escorted out of the 2 and under area for TALKING to his parents just standing there talking not touching any equipment or doing anything just simple existing and being respectful Plus at least at kids empire my kids can play together and the $18 entrance fee is all day long you can leave and come back at any time during their bussiness hours I don’t mind paying $20+ for my kids to have fun but the fact that at the front desk the worker failed to mentioned that we’d be paying for both of them until we got to the gym area is insane and bazar to me and my infant wasn’t even allowed to go into the area without being paid for To add to an already terrible experience for whatever reason a few minutes after my son was escorted out of the 2 and under area there were much bigger/older kids allowed to be in the area for a good minute playing with the equipment before a staff member said anything I was considering celebrating my sisters birthday here and my son but i can already see the headache of dealing with these people Also there’s a severe safety concern any child can walk right out the area without an adult and any adult could honestly walk out with a random child if parents aren’t watching like a hawk (which I am) there are safer children’s places in SA that have way better security to their areas then...
Read moreThis establishment is amazing. They have all you can play skating, bumper cars, mini-golf, laser tag and play ground. They also have a pay as you play arcade. (24.99+tax) they also honor military with a discount.
Skating has a very smooth and well maintained surface as well as decent quality skates to use as well as allowing personal skates. And I love the music selection. Bumper cars, this was a fun concept of bumper cars. If you hit on the targets it causes the other car to go into a spin. I also love how the have a removable jumper seat for younger passengers. The only down fall is the size, it does not give a lot of room to maneuver with 5 cars.
The play ground is awesome, it has a rock wall, trampolines and a mini soccer court. The down side to this is it only allows children under the height of 54". Others that are escorting the child can play but must stay with the child that is under 54".
The laser tag was a good size map but the blasters had a good range so you can tag an opponent from across the field.
The mini-golf was a lot of fun, it had great detail in the decor and the holes were a little challenging. My kid did get a hole in one on the first hole so she liked that part.
The thing that surprised me was the menu of the bistro & bar, I have never seen a kids play area that had the selection this bistro had as well as fair prices. And I loved the bar menu.
The arcade had a great selection of games and prizes, did not spend too much time here but was fun. All in all this place covers everyone in the family to sports on TV to massage chairs and pool tables. If you have not been here then I suggest it be on your next family outing list. I hope this review was helpful and thank you...
