The employees make for a memorable experience. The customer service, presentation and store layout make this a must stop destination in Bandon. You're always greeted by a warm smile. The fact that this is a superior product seems like a bonus. From how they hand craft each rum, to the story of how it is made and bottled, I was wishing that their pirate would leave with us and give us a tour of the rest of the town. Great people all the way around. I wasnt a rum person before I came to this shop. But, with 18 flavors there is something for every pallet. My suggestion? Try the Meyer lemon, the mocha, the cranberry and the coconut. Only their fine pirate Susie's drink combinations that compliment each flavor to perfection make you want to hire her to be your own cocktail creator. I recently read that they will come work your event as well! How...
Read moreStopped into the Stillwagon Distillery in search of a Christmas present for my brother after seeing it listed in the Wild Rivers Coast Food Trail and was blown away by the knowledge and customer service shown by the proprietor, Russell. My brother has become quite the tiki aficionado, so I try to take advantage of any opportunity I get to add to his spirit cabinet. And let me tell you, this stop was an absolute jackpot. So many unique and delicious hand-crafted spirits, all produced to the highest standards. Although what I will remember most about my trip to the Stillwagon Distillery Tasting Room was learning about the various rums from Russell. It's always such a treat to encounter people who are so passionate about their craft, and better yet, getting to support local small businesses. Highly recommend stopping by if you're...
Read moreI thought rum could not surprise me... Wow, was I wrong. This stuff is to die for delicious. Our favorites... Devil's Own Wicked (has a perfect bite to it, wickedly good), The Devil's Falernum (as it was the sweetest we tried I compared it to a dessert wine and that makes it a lovely digestive, apparently it is nice with Ice Cream or Ginger Beer too), and it was a toss between the Mocha and the Dark rum, the dark has some orange peel and was a bit smoother, we decided for the Mocha though as the coffee/cacao comes out really nice here. The Hibiscus is one to try as well. We did not try the cranberry, coconut or pineapple and forgot to try the fejoa. And the vodka is one of the smoothest I had, nearly too smooth, I am more of a wicked girl 😉. Def need to come back to...
