Ahoy, matey! All hands on deck at this excellent mini golf course just 10 minutes away from downtown Bar Harbor. My little family of 2 adults and 2 children (ages 6 and 8) were greeted right away on a weekday afternoon. We chose a 36-hole challenge which included their original course and "Blackbeard's Challenge" which had slightly more slopes. Both courses were really fun and every hole was exciting and different! ;) In fact, expect your ball to get wet. To complete both courses, we spent a little over 2 hours here which included waiting for other groups to finish at several spots. What a treasure!

NOTES/TIPS: **Parking was easy in their own lot. "Udder Heaven Ice Cream" and a BBQ spot are directly across the street. **Open mid-April through October. Children 3 and under are free. **Though there are some shady trees and structures, I suggest bringing sunscreen and water. **Vending machines for drinks are on premise near the main entrance. **For every hole-in-one, you get a chance at a prize on a prize wheel. My daughter won a free game. **Paper pirate hats and/or a pirate flag are given to each...

We have been going here for over 20 years now, they have always been clean and very friendly. Granted it can be a bit crowded on the weekends during summer so we usually go in the middle of the week or on cooler days. Even when crowded the site is worth it! Beautiful flowers and the set up is humorous, entertaining and also educational with info about different pirates and their reigns on the high seas. Both courses (red/original and black/blackbeard's challenge) are fun with a few 'easy's shots and then a couple 'holy cow's shots. IF I was to say one negative about this place (this is me looking for something) they have two or three holes you have to climb up stone stairs to do (but it is worth it as you can see the whole area with beautiful views) and one set of stairs tends to be a bit steeper so might be a bit harder for ppl with bad knees, hips or ankles. All and all this place is 10 out of 10 and if we ever get a chance to go to any of the other pirate coves around the US we are...

Really fun golf course. Beautiful scenery. A little pricier than some other mini golf courses, but, it seemed worth it to us. And, the ice cream shop in front is a nice bonus.

There are 2 different 18 hole courses. One is more challenging; the other is "prettier".

You can play 18 holes for one price, and for $5 more, you can play both courses (or play one course twice). You can decide after playing the first 18 holes if you want to pay the extra $5/person to continue on with another 18 holes.

On the inclines, some of the green is buckling (from being walked on too much). That's why I withheld a star.

There is a senior citizen discount for ages 60+. There is a prize for getting a hole-in-one on certain holes, so tell the worker if you got any hole-in-one's. Apparently, the holes that win a prize...

I can't describe how happy I am that our day led us to Pirate's Cove! There was plenty of parking, some of the friendliest service I've ever had at an establishment like this, and a great price point for a lot of fun. I got two holes in one and I've never had that happen before so that may or may not have contributed to my excitement! the park is themed great and easily had the most beautiful landscaping I've ever seen at a mini golf location. It was kept up with very well. There are lots of photo opportunities and if you get a hole-in-one on certain numbers, you receive a token for a free game!
