The ABSOLUTE BEST, affordable family friendly event the second weekend in October, EVERY YEAR! So much packed into the reasonable admission price! This has become a phenomenal annual fundraiser for a local southern Wisconsin youth nonprofit, Shakespeare on the Edge, Inc. All proceeds from this event go towards yearly funding for the youth.
Knights a top giant horses running full speed at each other to joust each other off the horse, orcs and elves battling, shipwreck shanty singers, elixirs of life, blazing fire circus with fire juggling, swallowing, dancing, and fire spitting, sword swallowers, dragon egg hunt, kids quest, Kid's Kingdom full of Renaissance games, belly dancers, falconry, music coming from many stages and booths, all kinds of kinds walking in the streets, tons of faire food -massive turkey legs, gyros, teas, cheesecakes on sticks, and the list goes on AND local WI brews served at the Pickled Gizzard Pub!
This is the faire's 14th year and Shakespeare on the Edge's 18th year of existence!!!
I hung out in the streets and photographed the magic of the faire and the patrons. I took nearly 2,000 photos this weekend! I will continue to add photos as I get them edited! --If you are a photographer, this is an awesome weekend to capture pictures!
Wonderful time for all ages and even the people who aren't quite sure if Ren faires are their thing. An epic experience I suggest every one to check out and it's all for a great cause!
(I also designed the tshirts!) If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! I've been a part of both; faire and organization a long time! 🪄🎪🔥🐎🧙♀️🦜🏴☠️
