We stopped by here today while visiting the Harvey Center and the railroad station. This small, unique museum is located on the second floor of the train station and worth taking the time to explore, especially if you like anything to do with outer space and NASA’s mission. The center consists of numerous interpretive displays, literature and static displays directly related to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), California Institute of Technology. In one of the rooms there is a visual/auto display, which is constantly playing explaining some of the current operations NASA is involved with in space exploration. Finally, we want to recognize the young lady we met there, named Leslie C. (Outreach Coordinator), who went out of her way to make us feel welcome and took the time to explain and educate us on many aspects of their mission. Read moreI went there yesterday after an hour's drive. Website says it is open Saturday 10-4. They were closed. Receptionist said they are not normally there Saturdays. So I was disappointed and a little peeved. Foreign tourists were visiting the Harvey House and I was disappointed for them too. It would have been fun to see. Maybe if I called the Visitor Center number even then, someone would have come out to show us around. How about a friendly sign directing people to the south side of the museum.
