Unexpectedly great Chinese food when you least expect it! We were driving from the Grand Canyon to back to LA. Having void of any Chinese food for a week, my can't-live-with-rice-for-a-day father was dying for some rice. When we passed by Barstow's Main Street, looking very much desolated, despite shown on the map as some sort of map street, my mom spotted some Chinese characters on their windows. Peeking from outside, there's not much hope, but were we pleasantly surprised! Given we are from Hong Kong and living in Vancouver now, we have had plenty of good Cantonese Cuisine and we know the so-so's to the good ones.
