I think I've found my new favorite donut shop, too bad I live over 2 hours away.
I was headed out to the river for the weekend and we decided we wanted to grab some donuts on our way and Barstow was the last full size town before we made it to our destination, so we typed up donuts in our navigation and just chose the most convenient location.
No thought went into our decision but it was the best decision we could have made. We ordered a bacon ham egg and cheese sandwich, a banana cream donut, a bear claw and a maple bacon. The bear claw was oily, but the filing was awesome, so I'm hoping it was a fluke. The banana cream wasn't overly sweet and the maple bacon was perfect. What I also really appreciated about these donuts is they were slightly smaller than what I'm used to but I'll take that as a plus - they didn't leave me feeling stuffed or guilty or in a sugar coma.
The breakfast sandwich was the winner of the meal though. It tasted so good, the croissant was warm and flaky, it was perfect.

Too bad they are cheap and won't give you a coffee refill or even a glass of water. Bathroom is out of order.
