I hosted my wedding at The Refinery October of 2024. It is a beautiful venue with lots of charm. The staff is very friendly.
Pros: Overnight stay: Five onsite hotel rooms and one large bridal sweet, perfect to get ready in on my big day with great lighting. Decor: There are many items for decor at your disposal with no extra charge. Flexibility: The staff were very flexible to help make our day everything we wanted. We originally booked a date for March of 2025 but changed our mind on the date. This venue helped us move up the date with little hassle and did not make us feel bad about the change or charge us a fee.
Cons: Organization: During my time from first viewing the venue to the big day there was a turnover in staff. Causing a little confusion on who would be my main point of contact. Though everything worked out in the end I worked with several different team members to iron out all details before the big day.
Catering: There is no kitchen on site which did limit which food options I could provide for my guests. We were able to work with a local catering company and the food was great.
Overall, the wedding was wonderful and everything looked beautiful. I am 100% satisfied with how everything turned out and I would host another event at this location...
Read moreStopped by The Refinery table today at the Tulsa Wedding Show to get a pricing sheet for their venue. The event planners that ran the booth were so rude to my partner and I. She asked us no questions about our scheduled event or if their venue was right for us, just took one look at us, rolled her eyes, and gave attitude for even having to talk to us. I asked if they had information we could take with us because at this point I was just trying to leave the conversation realizing her hospitality and event space would definitely not be the type of place I’d want my wedding goers to attend. She brought over a magazine that she explained a couple of pricing packages, but that we could not take the magazine because it was pricy to print and they are only interested in working with larger weddings and people that can afford their venue. She had no idea what size wedding we are planning, budget, or esthetic as the only question she asked was if we were having a small or large wedding. Working in the hospitality industry for 20+ years, this is the type of rude and snooty behavior to avoid. Pick any other venue in Oklahoma because every other table was so happy and thankful to have our information and business. This event space is gorgeous, but the staff are most...
Read moreI was expecting at least close to perfection for how much we paid to use the facilities. First we were locked out for the first 20 minutes because nobody was there to open up at the time we had reserved it for. Which put us late getting all set up. So as guests were arriving we were still setting up. The owner called and left a voicemail finally a few minutes before she got there giving us the code to the front door. Then when she got there she tried to tell me she didn’t call me, made me screen shot the message and forward her the voicemail! It was clearly her phone number and voice. It’s fine if you forgot that you called me, but don’t argue with me when it’s supposed to be a fantastic day for me! Next, the inside was so hot that everyone was sweating. Not just the pregnant woman! We tried adjusting the AC and it didn’t make a difference. My sister touched the curtain that separated the two sides of the room and it almost came crumbling down. The only good thing is that it...
