Sugarica — Restaurant in Bartlesville

SUGARICA: I got to try 3 cookies today - though not technically open for street sales, which happens on Wednesdays only every week. . . The nice owner let me buy to try!) All cookies were baked to perfection in terms of crunchy brown edges and moist middles. Stuffed Choc Chip was good - the ratio of the yummy Butter Cream Frosting stuffed between two Choc Chunk Cookies - perfect! Finger licking’ as it swished out the sides! Large Lemon Cookie (to my taste needed more lemon in the cookie - but admittedly, I’m a sour-puss.) Top was painted with strong Lemon Glaze that added the lemon notes I was seeking first! Hint: Eat this one upside down for best flavor!! (My favorite) Large Pumpkin Doodle. Again - I wanted more pumpkin flavor in the cookie. It was delicious with the Snickerdoodle topping though. Good structure on this super concept idea! (What else will we see?!?) A pricey adventure -but this Baker knows her stuff, and will custom-design and bake your desires. Check out the attached pix. Love sugarica for their cookies and desserts, however I would warn against hiring them for complex buttercream designs.

I had communications with them via email about my wedding cake where I had sent them my design idea, and was told they could recreate the design. My parents picked up the cake to deliver to my wedding, and upon opening the box I was fairly disappointed with their work. I’ve included the inspiration photo I sent them vs Sugarica’s creation; obviously my inspiration picture was complex and detailed, I just wish they had been up front with me about their buttercream abilities and maybe tried a demo beforehand to show me if they knew it would be that far off from my dream design.

Regardless- it tasted great. Go with a plain white cake with them and you won’t be disappointed...

For my recent wedding, my husband and I wanted donuts for dessert as we had breakfast food for dinner. However, we had a surprising number of gluten-free and Celiac people in our families and bridal party who wouldn’t have been able to have donuts, so we ordered a single tier, gluten free cake from Sugarica. Not only was it gorgeous, it was so delicious, and we had several people let us know it was the best gluten free cake they had ever had!
