Zest Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Bartow

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences to date. It is easy to say that the owners are incredibly talented. From the comfort of the design and decor, to cleanliness being the first thing to catch my eye, to the over all feel of the staff, making my experience the most pleasant to date. Then after trying the food, it was even more apparent that my all time favorite place so far (Cafe Flora in West Palm Beach) has some serious competition. I honestly can’t say anything negative about either place. I would give it 10 stars if I could. But knowing that Zest is so close to home. It’s clearly my new suggestion to anyone who ask where a good place for lunch or dinner is. I hope anyone who reads this gives them a try, you will not be disappointed. So far the Shells and Chicken has been my favorite but nothing has been anything short of amazing. The decedent robust flavors in their pasta sauce are impossible to stop eating and it is so hard to find a place that can shove that much flavor into something and not make it even the least bit spicy. I also highly recommend the bread pudding and ask for the added shot of flavored Gasparilla Rum on top. You will not be disappointed. And you can actually purchase the rum by the bottle and take it home with you. It was a sweet one stop shop when your hosting...

Five stars all around for Zest. Friendly staff, great food, and wonderful atmosphere.

Started the night by meeting Peyton. He was our server and was fantastic. Joked around, had a great personality, and was super helpful going over the menu.

Barry was the bartender and made top notch drinks. I got a tequila old fashioned and my wife got a hurricane. Both were 10/10.

We got the wings for an appetizer. They were crispy, juicy, and had phenomenal flavor.

Next was the main course. I got the steak frites and my wife got the chicken and shells. Both dishes were incredible. They had tons of flavor, the ingredients tasted fresh, and they were both cooked to perfection.

We ended the night with the chocolate ganache cake. It was delicious and an excellent way to end our dinner.

Some other great things about Zest is the owners. Both times we’ve been here one of the owners have come to check on us and ask how our dinner is going. They are friendly and it’s clear they are passionate about their restaurant and customers. They have an excellent staff, put together and excellent menu, and topped it off with a beautiful restaurant with a warm atmosphere.

This is a hidden gem in my hometown of Bartow, Florida. I grew up going to this place when it was a huge laundromat. The owners have given this place a total makeover. It has been divided and gave birth to this bar and grill, called "Zest". This place has a "wow" factor, Nad will definitely shock you and your taste buds. The menu is short and reasonably priced. The shrimp and fish were fresh, perfectly battered, and fried. I must say, they were delicious and left me wanting more. The Pulled pork nachos were dynamite with a jalapeños explosion. On my 2nd visit, I had the wings, nachos, and the burger. This food is top notch, and did I mention the owner told me they were opening a steakhouse on the other side of the building. My response was shut-up, and make me a reservation. Also, bartender, was throwing down back there. I am one satisfied customer and plan on making this a staple visit....
