The Batavia Farmers’ Market is truly a shining gem in the heart of downtown Batavia! Celebrating its 30th season, this market is more than just a place to shop—it’s a vibrant community experience that brings together local farmers, makers, foodies, and families in the most joyful way.
Held every Saturday from May through October and now with Wednesday evening markets in the summer, the market has become a weekly tradition for my family. It’s the perfect way to start your weekend or wind down midweek.
What sets the Batavia Farmers' Market apart is the incredible diversity and craftsmanship of the offerings. Every booth is filled with thoughtfully grown, raised, or handcrafted products. From lush fresh greens and fragrant herbs to gourmet mushrooms, organic meats, and farm-fresh eggs, it’s a paradise for anyone who values quality and sustainability.
The baked goods are irresistible—whether you’re craving crusty artisan bread, buttery pastries, or allergy-conscious treats, there’s something for every palate. You’ll also find small-batch hot sauces, locally roasted coffee, fresh-cut flowers, honey, handmade soaps, and even unique pet treats. The fact that vendors are required to grow or produce at least 75% of what they sell is a huge bonus—you know you're supporting real local talent.
Each week feels a little different, thanks to seasonal produce and rotating vendors, and it’s clear the team at Batavia MainStreet puts so much care and heart into organizing this market. The location on North River Street adds to the charm—with live music, friendly faces, and a scenic river view, it’s a total vibe.

The variety of vendors was amazing. From stunning local artwork, massage parlors, fresh herbs, cheeses, and so much more, there was truly something for everyone. We had our first taste of delicious tamales from Tamalex so flavorful and treated ourselves to refreshing boba tea from Thai Village, which was the perfect way to cool down.
