My parents used to take me to Disney World all of the time ever since I was a child. Even now, these moments still bring me back to those days and I get to relive it with my children!
The wait times have been pretty good, even throughout the busiest seasons. If it is summer and you are eager to fit in all of the rides and staying out of the sun for the longer queued rides, be sure to secure those fast passes! There is a huge array of food and dining options, so I would suggest doing some research ahead of your visit to see what your options are. If you intend to dine at one of the world-renowned and popular restaurants, be sure to reserve these at least a couple weeks to even a couple of months in advance, depending on the time of year you plan to visit and the popularity of the restaurant you would like to dine at.
There are plenty of opportunities for your children to have fun that doesn’t include the rides! Be sure to take your children around designated locations where the Disney characters will come out to take interactive photos and also signing off on autograph books! Other events also include the parades and shows throughout the day, so be sure to check on showtimes to ensure you do not miss out on them! At the end of the night, make sure you save a nice spot for you and your family near Cinderella’s Castle for the nightly fireworks display at least an hour before the show starts! Even after seeing the fireworks at least a hundred times, it is safe to say that it never gets old! For holidays throughout the year, there will also be specified themes to the fireworks display, so try to catch them all! Every one of these events has been a key memory for my youth and even now, so I am glad my parents made sure that I enjoyed every moment of it!
This has always been my chance to relive the childhood that I always loved and cherished. I expect nothing less from a typical day at Magic Kingdom and I hope that future families that come to visit and truly appreciate how magical a day at...

Most disney people are gonna go crazy when they see the castle and put on their ears for the first rime. For me, meh. It's pretty cool, good rides, very nice staff, but the food is terrible in alot of places unless you want to dine at "Mr Priceys expensive and all-together outragously priced space/gas station (reservation only 2 years in advance)". I still hate the abuse of fastpasses in these parks, it just feels like you're waiting hours purely to watch other people get in the faster line. Me and my girlfriend waited hours for some rides. I should state... We did pay for the multi-fastpass. I know, I'm a right git for it, but we only had one planned day in the disney parks and I wanted to try and get everything in. With that said, you've got to know way way too much about how the system works to get any use out of it. What rides to go on when, when to book them, and what actually is worth using them on. I just don't think fastpasses work, and especially not in parks that were designed far before and without the knowledge that those systems would be implemented.
In regards to food, it was overpriced and cheaply made. How much does a hot dog really need to costs before Disney goes, "wow, that's more than the price of a 3 star meal outside our parks". They know you're trapped, they know you're still gonna have to eat. They're gonna charge you whatever the hell they want.
The way I view the parks is this. You're a rat. They've got a very VERY nice looking cage and a lovely bit of cheese right in the middle. You don't know it but the cheese is actually moldy, and the cage is electricly charged. Disneys gonna sell you off for whatever they can get for you. Take my advice, avoid the cage. Go see the great out doors. Or if you really must and just neeeed to see what the cheese tastes like. Atleast spend some money on the "rat cage escape door (only for 299.99 per rat)."
Still had a good time, just got rinsed of my...
Read moreOf all the places we were looking forward to on our trip to Disney, the Magic Kingdom was still the one we were most excited for. There really is nothing like turning the corner and seeing the kids faces as they saw the castle for the first time.
The walk up Main Street USA with everything going on is still surreal and seeing the parades was the highlight of the day, followed closely by the firework show. There's no getting away from how tiring the day is, especially in the Florida heat but we had an absolutely amazing time.
We intentionally planned for 2 full days in Magic Kingdom as you miss so many of the small touches if you are rushing around for rides. This way we managed to get in meets with all the characters and still found the time to ride all the busy rides. Be warned, you will spend hours of your life in the queue for Tron but it is worth the wait.
You might be wondering whether you should buy the Lightening Lane Multi-Pass, the answer is you should. First day we didn't and suffered for it. It's an added cost and in my opinion, should be a perk for those staying on property but just spend the money especially if travelling with kids. On our second day in MK we had it and the day was much more relaxed.
Photopass is also worth the investment if not included in your package. Tapping your magic band (yes buy them!) and having all the professional and ride photos appear in your app is so cool.
In summary, this really is still the best park at Disney even after all these years and was the highlight of our trip. Take your time, plan in advance and if you can, spread over a couple of days to really...
