This quick service stand is to the left of the magic kingdom castle if you’re facing it from the front. I came here for their infamous Belgian waffles with hazelnut and fruits. It didn’t disappoint one bit, in fact, I had to go back for seconds. 🤦🏻♀️
So I’ll start off warning you guys to plan accordingly when looking to visit Sleepy Hollow. Because of its location, we had trouble getting to it for multiple reasons. The first time, we had to walk entirely around to get to it because the parade was about to start and streets were closed off. Then we decided to continue our day and just come back before the fireworks; Also a big mistake! They closed off the streets early for the fireworks (we had no idea they were at 8pm, turns out magic kingdom had an after hours event and that’s why the fireworks were so early) and again we had to walk a complete circle to get to it through the other side.
Was it worth the difficulty and adventure? ABSOLUTELY. There are a few select park snacks that I get every time I go to the parks and the hazelnut waffle with fruits is now on that list, politely kicking off my most loved chocolate covered pineapple. THIS and dole whip are my brand new go-tos whenever I’m in town!
They don’t allow mobile ordering and the lines do get pretty long so like I said, plan accordingly. We ordered the foot long corn dog + chips, hazelnut waffle with fruits and the regular Mickey waffle with strawberries and whip cream since my mom is allergic to nuts.
Everything was nothing short of excellent. We usually snack and eat a little bit of everything at every booth but once we realized how yummy everything was, we got back in the line and ordered more. I wish I was exaggerating.
Another super cool thing about this spot that I actually accidentally discovered was how amazing the views for the fireworks are! You still see castle projections perfectly and although the fireworks are not directly in front of you, they’re kinda above you! It was a nice spot we landed in, it wasn’t crowded and we didn’t go through the craziness after the fireworks that usually happens when people are scrambling to leave the park or go to another ride.
The pricing here was pretty good as well. Except for maybe the corn dog but when you think about it, it is pretty big for $11! For a quick service and for the amount of food you get, it’s a good value. Easy spot to get a bite for kids and it’s got seating available so that’s always awesome!
If you haven’t visited sleepy hollow or maybe you’re wondering if this is worth the hype, I’m here to tell...
Read moreGet a waffle while in the Magic Kingdom I never thought that I would want a waffle on a hot day while visiting this Disney park. But I was hungry for a snack and decided to try it out. I am so glad that I did. It was a great choice. Sleepy Hollow Refreshments is sort of tucked near Liberty Square in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. It is a wonderful little spot that offers a perfect break from the bustling park. I recently stopped here and enjoyed one of their delicious fresh waffles topped with strawberries and whipped cream. It was wonderfully crisp on the outside, and paired beautifully with the sweet fruit and fluffy cream—a simple treat done just right.. What made it even better was the relaxing seating area just off to the right. There is a decent size area with tables where you can sit down, recharge, and people-watch while enjoying your snack, which was a welcome pause in my busy day of rides and crowds. The location also offers a potential view of the parades sometimes since it is just off the passing parade route. l. Overall, Sleepy Hollow is a delightful little gem for anyone looking to satisfy a sweet tooth or simply take a restful, shaded break during their Magic Kingdom adventure. I will definitely stop by again for a...
Read moreWe visited Sleepy Hollow for some snacks. I wanted some kind of ice cream, and something a bit more filling. I found the best options from here, Ice Cream Churro Sandwich and Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich with Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread.
Ice Cream Churro Sandwich was unexpected, as we didn't know they offer that until we got there. A nice big scoop of ice cream was placed gently between warm churro “buns” which in itself was like a sweet dream…but then, it kind of get the ice cream to melts a bit faster than regular ice cream sandwich. So, don’t ogle at it for too long! It was quite sweet as you can imagine. The cinnamon sugar mixed with vanilla ice cream was precious.
Fruit waffle sandwich might not look like much, but it also has gooey chocolate-hazelnut spread (like Nutella)! So it was like a Nutella and fruits crepe, but made with waffle! It was quite good too! The waffle had a slight crunchy texture on the edges, but still soft and moist in the middle. Sweet but not overly sweet. All the fruits were nice and ripe, sweet and juicy! If you are looking for a bit more "healthy" snack, I definitely...
