Some of the items we chose India Marketplace- Curry-Spiced Crispy Cheese with Mango-Curry- good flavor but hard to find a place to eat nearby.
Greece Marketplace - Griddled Cheese with Pistachios and Honey - liked the texture and added honey and nuts with cider flight from Morocco (cider $10).
Brazil Marketplace - Pão de Queijo: Brazilian Cheese - I realize a lot of cheese plates don't have a lot of flavor but this is also a throw away, skip for something a bit more interesting.
The Alps Marketplace - Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Baby Potatoes, Cornichons and Baguette - this you can skip it was ok, a handful of tiny salted potatoes with two spoonfuls of cheese and half of a small baguette. Hardly any flavor or texture. I would move on to another country :)
Brew-Wing Lab at the Odyssey- this was our favorite with the Pickle Milkshake, sounds gross but it tasted like a Vanilla Dairy Queen shake with a splash of dill $5.75. Also tried the Frozen Fusion drink, super on a hot day. I am not prone to trying silly drinks but my coworkers all said you gotta try 'em! They were correct!!!!!!
Most of the food items are under $7 and drink flights $10. We have been five times since the Food and Wine has started and keep finding a little something new to eat or drink.
Go, enjoy, walk around, even in the heat, find a few cold spots (Living Seas, Odyssey Restaurant, UK shops, etc). I left happy...
Read moreHoliday Festival 2022 is happening now until Dec 30th. We had some really good food, drinks and Christmas cookies at different countries. Our favorite foods were the blackened catfish over hoppin John(southern dish with rice, black-eyed peas, collared greens, special spices) at American Adventure. It was a generous portion and very delicious! Also the dark chocolate Crinkle cookies were our favorite at the festival at the same place. We also liked the Beef Bourguignon at Canada. Delicious! The Chicken Schnitzel and Linzer cookies were top favorites at Germany. My husband had the beer flight and loved it, especially the hard apple cider. This was surprising because I thought he would pick the dark Doppelbock as his favorite. That's why these festivals are fun. Try different things and surprise yourself! My son liked the lamb kabob and Moroccan bread at Tangerine Cafe. I enjoyed my only cocktail of the day there as well: the fig vodka, cranberry, sparkling wine cocktail. Really tasty, and wish the glass had been a little larger! All of the countries were beautifully decorated for Christmas, especially Germany. There is a gift shop in Germany that has a great selection of Christmas ornaments, and I found one that was "reasonably priced." World Showcase and Epcot are not as decorated as Magic Kingdom, but definitely less crowded....
Read moreStroll around the world in just over a mile EPCOT is one of the 3 major Florida Disney parks and the 7th most visited park in the world. As far as I know, it is the only theme park of its kind in the world. It has a few parts that make it truly unique. One is the 8 stories tall Spaceship Earth geodesic dome at the entrance and the other is the World Showcase. The showcase is the part that encompasses the various buildings representing 11 countries from around the world. Once you pass under the Spaceship Earth just keep going until you reach the lake. Left or right will take you in a circle. Every few hundred feet you will move from one country to another, From Canada to Mexico and many places in between, you traverse around the entire lake, 1.2 miles, and arrive back at your starting point. Each country has many sights to see and unique areas to explore. I recommend using the Disney app to explore the many interesting parts of the lake. Each year there are several festivals with extras to explore like Food and Wine and Flower and Garden shows. There are several rides at the park and a few of them are in the World Showcase like Ratatouille, Frozen, and the 3 Caballero’s in France, Norway, and Mexico respectively. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the park to anyone wanting a...
