My girlfriend was here from New York and we decided to take a trip to Biloxi and New Orleans for the weekend. We looked online to see if there was anything to do besides gamble and so we saw that there was a river boat cruise and I love riverboats. We made the reservation online two days prior and then went to the dock. It is boarded between golden nugget and Margaritaville very easy to find. We just went up to the front of the boat and they had her name on a list. We got a seat on the top where there was a table and sat down with our drinks. The food was served right after the boat took off. The drinks were very reasonably priced —-I believe the mixed drinks were five dollars and we had two wine coolers and they were only three dollars each. We got a seat on the top where there was a table and sat down with our drinks. The food was served right after the boat boat left around 7:10. It was hibachi style food. They had chicken vegetables fried rice and shrimp. It definitely is not a typical hibachi. I thought we were getting steak. I didn’t taste any egg in the rice and it should have had more soy sauce or something - The chicken was OK but the shrimp was small and not very tasty. The vegetables were not that great either. We should’ve used more mushrooms and more typical hibachi style vegetables. It wasn’t horrible tho- The food was not the part that was a bit disappointing. The fact that there were kids running and screaming all over the place that drove both of us crazy. In fact many of us adults said that there should be an adult only cruise in the evening. The adults didn’t even bother to tell the children to behave or be quiet as we were trying to enjoy a relaxing cruise and had to hear screaming and crying kids- Alcohol is being served and I did not feel that this is a place that children needed to be at. They should just go on a day cruise if they want to do that. The music was great as was the band and the service was fantastic! They always asked us if we wanted more to drink and if they could clear our table. I definitely would recommend it but I again highly recommend the owners to think about the kids...

Although I first came across this site and wanted to check it out last year, I only just recently planned and made the outing tonite.

Really quick fast and easy to make the reservations last month, and it was great! Got there 1/2 hour early as requested and they were already boarding, got in, they had an enclosed lower deck with seating and a bar, serving tables upper and lower decks, and my wife and I ( this was an early birthday present for her from me ) went to the upper deck where they had the Hibatchi Chef prepping the food at the aft section of the boat, seating along the open sides, an open mid section for dancing, and a musician playing guitar along with musical accompaniment and singing a variety of styles of 60's, 70's & 80's music.

Deckhands immediately and continually ran drinks for everyone ( with a bad knee this kept me from climbing up and down the short steps between decks and was greatly appreciated!! ) as well as kept tables clear for everyone throughout the evening.

Shortly before we cast off, the Captain came on out and gave us a brief and humorous introduction to himself, his wife, deckhands, singer, and of course the Chef. He then gave a brief description of the Paddleboat "Betsy Ann", engine details, history, and details of our excursion thru the Sound, to watch the Sunset, and back in ( as he started up the engine the musician played the title song of "Gilligans Island" which got a round of laughter! ).

The ride was beautiful, perfect weather, nice breeze, great food, young folks aboard were dancing to music, pleasant group on board, my wife was very happy and pleasantly surprised by the experience. We hadn't even completed the 2 hour ride ( one hour short of Gilligans! ) and were already discussing plans to return with other family members!!

Thank you for a memorable evening to the Captain and Crew of The "Betsy Ann"!!!

Delbert and Katherine...

This is hands-down the best entertainment on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!

We have been fortunate enough to experience (multiple times) each tour they currently offer. The ecologolical tour is informative and relaxing. The Captain offers his years of wisdom on the history of the area, other vessels, landmarks all sprinkled in with his own sense of humor. The sunset harbor cruise offers incredible live music and the views of the sunset over the gulf are breathtaking.

At the helm is Captain Mike, he has built an incredible operation with his easy cham, quick wit and professionalism. Serving up libations and wicked adult gummys at the bar is Dayna, the Catptain's beautiful wife, as he affectionately refers to her so often. She always has a smile on her face and could not be any sweetie if she tried. Johnny is the man behind the music, he keeps everyone off their butts and on thei dance floor with his angelic voice. He's pretty funny too! The deck hands (or drink angels as you will come to know them) are the kindest, hardest working people in the service industry. Your glass will never be empty, your questions will never go unanswered, you'll never have to ask twice for them to take your photo (you probably won't even need to ask, they seem to know what you need before you even know you need it).

All cruises are family-frendly, the entire crew goes above and beyond to make your adventure unforgettable. Do not hesitate to book anyone of their tours, you will not regret it.

On a very personal note to the Captain, Dayna, Johnny and the Betsy Ann crew, thank you for your hospitality. It was just what we needed. Morgan was the happiest little boy, thank you. Expect to see more of us, you have made...

Updated review new location* Did the evening live music cruise at the new location in BSL. These guys work hard and do a good job. The location is fine with plenty of parking. The boat cruises under the BSL bridge and into the bay. I'm assuming because it was a live music cruise (which the 73 year old singer did a great job) was the reason why there wasn't much narration about the area, the bay etc..I liked how in Biloxi they gave a lot of information about the surrounding area, the water, and other informative facts like about the Katrina memorial etc...again maybe there wasn't too much of that because it was a live music cruise...also there were no kids on board so I don't know if they still let them drive the boat. My only complaint is after about half way the boat was going painfully slow...not how I remembered it in Biloxi. It was borderline boring. The sunset was great. Just wished the boat moved a bit faster on the 2nd hour of the tour. *Original review Biloxi Great sunset cruise, very relaxing. The cap, his wife, and the deck hands were super friendly. I was supposed to take a cruise with another boat but he had to cancel (not enough business) so I went up to the Betsy to get some info and one of the deck hands 'Vince' was extremely welcoming and answered all my questions. Cheapest cruise in Biloxi as well and it's great for all ages...we had little kids (who got to steer the boat) and elderly people on the cruise last night that all seemed to enjoy it very much. We'll be back to try a day time cruise next time we're in Biloxi

We had a really great time on the riverboat !! It did have a mechanical issue and breakdown while we were out on the ocean .we were pretty far from shore when it happened but it wasn't insane . The paddle apparently broke a piece off .The captain and the crew handled the situation pretty amazingly honestly . The captain came over the PA and told everyone " hey there's a problem ,here's how were gonna fix it ,everything's cool, enjoy the ⛵ " . And we all did . They sent for another tiki boat to fetch us all , probably 65 folks give or take. My family and I think 1 other had small kids and my kids didn't get scared or freak out over what was going on . They put PFDs on everyone and we hoped from one ⛵ to another and ferried on back to shore. All in all it only ran about 50 minutes over when the tour was suppose to end anyways . Very good leadership here . I read this captain and his wife just bought this boat and started a business .it was well worth the money which wasn't bad AT ALL there were five in my party and it was less than a hundred 💵. There was a history part of the area while you tugged along the coast . The history of deer island was amazing . A woman raised 52 damn kids there and they rowed to school and had prefect attendance !! When we were driving home and my husband asked the kids " what was your favorite part ?" They all said " the riverboat and the 🐬" .

Good food, live music, and dancing. Oh, also the gorgeous sunset. We bought tickets for this cruise only expecting hibachi and we got so much more. It was nice to see people relax, forget the worries of the world, and have a great adventure. Some people were celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and were acknowledged. This is a family owned business and they put a whole lot of effort in to making people feel welcome. You can also tell they care for and treat the crew like family (whether they are or not). The live music provided by Johnny was great. He had a great personality, nice song selection, and kept the atmosphere lively. When back in the area, we will definitely go on this cruise again. We would also like to try their new tiki cruise that is starting up next week.
