My mom and I used to go here quite frequently a few years ago. Over the past year or two, I have noticed the crowd has diminished, especially at night. Given our experience recently, I now know why. The owner is rude (to say it nicely). My friends and I spent two hours there, paid a nice size bar tab. All to be told we could no longer sit. In fact, my husband's chair was taken while he went outside to smoke. I literally had to wrestle the chair out of the owner's hand. We were told "we move the chairs every night at 9 to make room on the dance floor". There were all of 15 people in the room, at least 6 being staff or entertainment. The rest, except for the four of us were underage (or close to it). Our chairs were at the bar, not on the dance floor! -So unless someone was planning on dancing on the bar, what was the point? - After my wrestling match, he then approached us and proceeded to pompously inform us he was the owner. This meant nothing to us but only because of his attitude towards us. We were treated like an inconvenience to him. Up until his arrival, we were treated nice by the bartender there. She is the only reason I give 2 stars. Especially after meeting who she has to deal with every day. Word around town is that NOBODY (not even the vendors that supply his establishment) wants to deal with him. He should really consider changing professions. Maybe at a RAVE bar, since his preferred crowd seems to be the barley legal. Decent place, I suppose, for day drinking but buyer...

Read moreThe first thing you notice when you walk into Buoy's Bar is the bar. It's designed to look like the back of a sport fishing yacht! The rest of the bar keeps the fishing / coastal theme, and I have to say, it looks awesome! There are a good number of local beers on tap. They've kept the menu fairly small, but what they do offer is outstanding. The Redfish Tacos were aweseome! It was too hot to sit outside on the deck overlooking the harbor when we visited, hope to come back later in the evening or on a cooler day, as the views...
