After living at Bay 151 for over 2 months now I can confidently say this place is far from what I expected. Security is almost non-existent. While you’re supposed to need a fob to access the buildings, most doors are left wide open, allowing anyone to walk in freely and go to any floor since the elevators don't require fobs. I’ve seen food delivery people wandering around, and even one entering the package room – which, by the way, is a complete mess. Finding your package in that disaster takes forever. The parking situation isn’t terrible, but they definitely don’t enforce the rules. What’s truly dangerous, though, is trying to leave the buildings to the main street. People park along the street, blocking your view, and cars speed down the main road. You have to risk pulling your car halfway into the road to even see, which is really unsafe. There’s dog poop everywhere, and people frequently let their dogs run off-leash with no regard for the rules. As for management? Completely MIA. I haven’t seen security once since moving in, and the gym is pretty dirty. Equipment is scattered around, and no one seems to be cleaning or maintaining the place properly. Management might respond to this review saying I should text or call them because they “care,” but that’s just a standard response. They don’t care. As soon as it’s lunchtime or the end of the workday, they leave, even if something urgent is happening. If you’re considering Bay 151, I’d seriously reconsider. Between the lack of security, cleanliness issues, and management’s indifference, it’s not worth the headache – or the risks.

I've been residing here for the past five months, and I must express my deep frustration regarding the recurring issue of lost packages. It's perplexing to comprehend the purpose of having a supposedly secure locker system when, more often than not, packages end up scattered carelessly outside, vulnerable to theft and damage. While it's challenging to pinpoint the exact source of the problem, it's evident that some delivery personnel have consistently shown a lack of responsibility by haphazardly leaving packages in various inconvenient locations, sometimes even outdoors. Adding to the frustration is the fact that, on occasion, there is someone available at the front desk who appears to be oblivious to the mounting issue. I've witnessed packages piled up on the adjacent table, right within their reach, yet they seem disinterested or unwilling to assist. This breakdown in the system not only leads to lost and stolen packages but also erodes the trust we place in the management to ensure a secure and efficient delivery process. I implore the management not to overlook this pressing matter. It's imperative that swift and effective changes are implemented to address these persistent concerns. On the brighter side, aside from this particular issue, there isn't much else to complain about.

We moved back to Bayonne in the midst of COVID and had high expectations on the kind of place we wanted to rent, all while trying to not pay too much. After searching the surrounding areas, Bay151 in Bayonne had by far the best quality, size, and pricing for the area while staying within an easy few minutes walk to the Light Rail, less than 20 mins to the PATH train, and an easy Uber to EWR. The amenities were a huge plus with a pool that never got crowded in the summer and a two-story gym with a separate free-weights/yoga area. The property stayed extremely clean with employees that were always out making sure the trash was removed, maintenance was always very responsive to minor maintenance requests (which didn’t happen often beyond minor bulb replacements, etc.), and management was attentive to anything we needed. I always felt safe at the property and would highly recommend Bay151 to young adults or families alike. Special appreciation to Daniel, Jakub, Julian, & Richard for being friendly and professional during our pleasant 3 years as residents. If we ever return to the area, Bay151 will be home again!

We lived in this apartment building for the past year, and while there were many things we loved about it, we ultimately had to move out due to an unresolved noise issue that made daily life unbearable.

First, the positives: our apartment itself was spacious, modern, and comfortable. Aside from some windows that were difficult to open and close (which took over eight months to be addressed after we reported it), we had no major maintenance issues. The building amenities were also great, which initially made us eager to renew our lease.

However, what completely ruined our experience was the building management’s inability to handle excessive noise issues. Our neighbors were consistently loud, with hours of daily disturbances—banging, jumping, running, dragging furniture/toys, scratching noises, and frequent yelling. While we understand that they had a toddler and expected some noise, this was well beyond reasonable. It became impossible to relax after work, and even on weekends, the noise would start as early as 7-8 AM, preventing us from getting much-needed rest.

We brought this to management’s attention multiple times over the course of six months. While they were friendly, they were ultimately ineffective—offering nothing beyond repeatedly asking the neighbors to be considerate, which did nothing to resolve the issue. In fact, at times, the noise seemed to escalate after our complaints. The only “solutions” they provided were to move us into a smaller apartment for the same price or to a larger unit with a $500-$600 rent increase—both unreasonable options that placed the burden on us instead of addressing the real issue.

After speaking with other residents, we realized this was a widespread problem—management is simply unable (or unwilling) to enforce any real noise regulations (and yes this applies for after 10pm as well). As much as we wanted to stay, we had no choice but to leave in search of a place where we wouldn’t be constantly stressed by unbearable noise.

Bottom Line: If you’re considering living here, think twice about choosing a unit that isn’t on the top floor. While the building itself is great, the lack of noise control and management’s inability to resolve tenant concerns could make your living experience frustrating. A one star rating might be extreme, but truly that is how badly the noise affected our opinion and overall living experience. Also for anyone wondering, we lived in unit 1246 in building one - sharing because hopefully the future renters will see this and at least be aware of the risk...

We had a generally good experience living at Bay 151, with a few serious caveats. On the positive side, we got lucky with our location—we were in a quiet hallway with friendly and respectful neighbors, which made a big difference. While I can’t speak to what it’s like during pool season since we moved in right after and left before, the general noise level in our area was very manageable. Maintenance was also excellent—quick, responsive, and always on top of any issues we submitted.

Unfortunately, where Bay 151 really fell short was in its management. There seemed to be no real presence or enforcement of community rules, especially when it came to parking. But the most concerning issue was a serious incident in Building 3—a literal METH lab explosion. Shockingly, management never communicated anything about it to residents. No warning, no reassurance, no information at all. For something that directly impacts resident safety, the silence was unacceptable and deeply concerning.

Separate from Bay 151 itself, getting out of the apartment complex onto Chosin Few Way was extremely dangerous. Cars—mainly residents—would constantly park on the yellow lines, completely blocking the view of oncoming traffic. It made exiting the property a serious safety risk.

Overall, while our day-to-day experience was mostly positive thanks to our specific location and the great maintenance team, the lack of management presence and disregard for resident safety were major red flags.

EDIT FOR THEIR REPLY:

Thanks for responding, but this is misleading. After I posted my review, your team called me asking me to take it down. That undermines the claim here. The serious incident in Building 3 DID happen, and multiple residents were aware of it. I stand by my original review. Please address resident safety and communication rather than pressuring residents to remove honest feedback.

And adding to my previous review—the hallways constantly smell like weed, and there are times when dog poop is left in the hallways. From other residents’ comments, I can also confirm the AC unit is extremely loud. If you work from home, it’s a terrible place for that reason alone, and the utility bill is always extremely high.

ALSO, going down from 2 stars to 1 because of the reply which was a complete lie. How...

I cannot say enough great things about Bay151! From the moment Richie gave me my tour, I knew this was the place for me. My mom and two daughters accompanied me during the tour, and Richie went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt comfortable. He was incredibly attentive to all of our needs, especially my mom’s. When she became tired from walking, Richie patiently waited while she took a seat to catch her breath before continuing the tour.

One of the highlights of our visit was how Richie connected with my younger daughter. When she started crying because she wanted to move in immediately (LOL), Richie sat with her and reassured her that he and the staff would make sure everything was perfect for her move-in day. His kindness and personal touch truly set the tone for what was to come.

Moving in has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The staff, from leasing to maintenance, has been nothing short of phenomenal—always professional, attentive, and ready to assist.

Bay151 truly offers a life of luxury that has brought immense joy and comfort to my family during a challenging time. My children love living here, and it has become a haven for us while I navigate the difficulties and pressures of divorce. Home is now our place of peace, with much credit to the incredible staff and the life we’re able to create at Bay151.

The beautifully designed spaces, top-notch amenities, and warm community have made all the difference. I mean, I can choose between sitting in a cozy pod to complete homework or attending a top-notch workout class to stay fit any day of the week! The sun rises and sets right in front of my window, and the deer that roam nearby have made for surprisingly great neighbors.

The people are friendly, the neighborhood is diverse, and I have zero regrets about the shopping centers being just a few feet away.

If you’re considering Bay151, don’t hesitate—this community is everything you could hope for and more. It’s not just a place to live; it’s a place...
