Solid ice cream here...no pun intended. During my visit I ordered the medium size serving which included 2 scoops of their home made hard ice cream for $3.75. That's a relatively good deal, cheaper than other local shops like Torico. You may get better value in buying a pint if you already have a favorite flavor. Both the pistachio and the cookie dough flavors were very good. They had a subtle sweetness (which I like), were creamy, and had good portions of pistachio and dough to nibble on. There is a parking lot with an outdoor seating area available. Also they offer drive through service. However, the drive thru line seems to get longer than walk in. So I advise that you just park and grab your scoop. It seems to be a family owned business. They are CASH ONLY and tax seems to be included in the price, which makes their pricing an even better bargain. Normally the servers are polite. But during my last visit when I brought a big group of about 10 customers to try out their ice cream, the clerk got my second round of orders wrong. For one set of 4 orders he charged me for 5 ice creams instead. When I attempted to correct him showing him that there are only 4 people in front of him ordering and yet he gave me 5 separate ice cream servings, the man said "well I can't take the ice cream back and can't refund!" Now of course this is really not an excuse since he got the orders wrong. When I pushed that fact he disgruntedly gave me the refund for one ice cream. However, when I calculated everything after I left the stand, I realized that he actually overcharged me for TWO extra ice cream servings, not just one! Overall, this spot has good ice cream, at reasonable prices and is conveniently located. If they teach their staff to handle customer service issues better then they'll be 4 stars. But after my last experience they'll get a 3 star and I doubt I'll ever bring a large group there again to avoid the potential headaches with large orders. So always check that you got the right order and that you got charged the right price before you walk away!

I love that there is a walk up and drive through ice cream place in Bayonne. It’s a very cute hut that has picnic tables outside too and in the winter they sell wreaths and Christmas trees. On a hot summer day it’s always a long line. But not as long as Torico’s in JC. And this place is more affordable and has better quality ice cream in my opinion. My favorite is the cherry vanilla. The hot fudge topping is so decadent. The hurricanes usually come out a bit too soupy though. All their flavors are really good and I like the soft serve too. the size def depends on who you get, sometimes my Small is much bigger than other times. I do find the small to be pretty big and enough even to share. They give samples too if you ask and the samples are a whole spoonful! I love coming here. They now have Italian rainbow cookie ice cream June 2024. So good! Lots of rainbow cookies and great flavor of the ice cream.

I really HATE to leave bad reviews, especially since I’ve worked in customer service my whole life. The girl who took my order with the blonde hair was so rude to me. She took my order for a malt and asked all her coworkers who wants to make the malt because she doesn’t want to make it. IN FRONT OF MY FACE WITH THE WINDOW OPEN. I recently retired because of my 6 congnitive/mental disabilities and it’s important for me to find places that treat people with disabilities with respect. I honestly don’t think I’ll be coming back here… I used to love this place..

Before I give my review I want to bring up a big problem with the way MF is set up. The drive thru is in a very dangerous place. The MF is on the corner. It has 2 service windows. On the left of the building is a drive thru. If the line is long which is always the case because their icecream is very good, you run the risk of getting hit by a car 2 ways. Both on Broadway. The drive thru is right where the left service window is. If you buy something and want to go sit at the picnic tables, a child can run right infront of the car coming through the drive thru. It doesn't stop there. The lines are long and again the cars turning right onto Broadway ( hopefully their isn't a person or kid not paying attention. I like MF. Those people work very hard. Their icecream is very good but some don't know what to charge. 2 adults and 2 kids= 25$ easily. Please do something about the drive thru. I mention this because people in their cars might not see a kid darting to go sit in the area to eat their icecream. Please keep a good lookout for their safety. Kids don't know any better. The adults are talking and not looking around. Most people are either looking at the menu or paying for their purchases. As for the staff, they are very friendly. They do a very good job. Plus you have people ordering up their own concoctions. Please watch your children. Please blow your horn before you exit the driv thru. Enjoy yourselves but,...
