Wasabi Thai — Restaurant in Bayonne

It’s all about the taste, of course. In my opinion, the food here is of excellent taste. We tried 7 or 8 various sushi rolls, soups, and meals, and every single one of them was delicious. Plus, I wasn’t really hungry to begin with, still I ate quite a lot. Below are the reasons why I felt this way about the food. The tuna in the sushi rolls was fresh and the avocado was ripe to perfection (ripe enough to be soft enough, yet not too ripe to start being too soft and getting brown). The chicken in both Tom Yum soup and in the Pad Thai was of a very good quality: cooked just right (soft, not chewy) and one could actually taste the chicken among the spices. Miso soup was truly delicious, with taste quite similar to one I’ve had privilege to experience in the best Japanese restaurants (both in US and Japan). Service was also good and friendly, quite attentive. Plus, one gets free Bayonne roll for every order larger than $50 ( or free California roll for orders over $30). So I️ came into wasabi Thai at approximately 3:45pm on 11/22/17, me and my boyfriend already knew what we wanted as we have been there before. We wanted to order off the lunch special as it ends at 4pm. The waitress waited until after 4 to come to our table to ask what we wanted. It was approximately 4:02pm when she came to the table. She asked what we wanted and we advised her on our drinks but advised we wanted something off the lunch special, she advised us she could not as it was after 4. We advised her that we frequent here often, but still would not give us the lunch special amount. We requested to speak to the manager; but the manager also sent another worker to advise us the same. This is a new business and this was terrible customer service especially to lose business to someone who frequently visits their establishment. The food is decent; however I’d rather spend my money somewhere else that gives better...

I got delivery and the food was excellent! Salad, wonton soup and Pad Thai. Big portions. I wish they had Wi-Fi though otherwise I would have ate there and got a lunch special. The food was so fresh though, and tasted great reheated as well the next day. The Pad Thai has shrimp and chicken in it, and the chicken was tender and the shrimp were perfectly cooked as well. I hate reheating fish but these shrimp reheated well. The Thai iced tea was big, very sweet but good. I will definitely order again!

… I ordered again and got pick up. Got the maki combo (tuna roll, California roll and shrimp tempura roll) and it came with soup and salad. Enough for 1 person. The 3 rolls it comes with are great, shrimp tempura is very good. The miso soup was a generous portion and I really liked the seaweed in it.
