We ordered for the first time last night, 4/5/24. The young lady that answered the phone was very polite. She immediately informed me that they were only accepting credit cards right now which I was fine with as that’s how I planned to be paying. She proceeded to take my name, address and finally my order. Once she confirmed my order she advised that delivery time was an hour and a half. I said that was fine but maybe next time start off with letting the customer know before hand. She apologized and we hang up. 2 seconds later I get a text message from DoorDash saying my order has been placed and my Dasher would update me soon. I was so confused at first but quickly realized the order I just placed was being delivered by DoorDash. Which means I’ll be charged by DoorDash. I called the pizzeria back to question if I was correct. Same young lady picked up the phone and confirmed they were short on drivers so they are using DoorDash. I asked why I wasn’t told this information when placing the order as DoorDash is going to charge me a fee for their service. She immediately hands the phone off to a gentleman who basically repeats what the girl told me. He added that DoorDash charges $7, the pizzeria is covering $4 and the customer pays $3. He did offer to cover the entire $7 and stated the young lady was new and should have explained that that’s why they were only accepting credit no cash. I replied yes she should have and I understand she’s new, I’ll pay the $7 I just wanted to have a better understanding as to why DoorDash sent me a text as I have never had this happened when ordering from a pizzeria. Now as far as the food, it did take almost 1 1/2 hours for delivery. Food arrived cold and I mean cold I had to heat the pizza and garlic knots in the over. Once the food was hot it was great. Great flavor, not greasy. We enjoyed it. I haven’t decided if I’ll...
Read moreFood is really good. I usually pick up the order but this time I wanted to place the order for delivery. I ordered through their website for the first time and paid through apple pay. Payment went through as pending on my end, but website said there was an order and to call the store. Which I ended up doing and I told the lady that answered on the phone what happened, she couldn’t find an order with my name and passed me along to an older man which I’m guessing is the owner. Told the same situation to him and he passed me along to his son to see if he can help me. I ended up explaining the situation again and he told me to call back in 10 minutes because sometimes it takes time for the order to go through on their end. He told me to call back and if they still couldn’t see it on their end that he would help me out. I called back about 20 minutes later went through the same thing with the lady passing me on the phone to the older man. He asked me if I wanted to place another order and I asked if I can place it over the phone, and he responded “oh my god if you wanna place the order with me it is for pick up if you want to do delivery you have to place the order again online we don’t have personal drivers.” Because of his attitude I just told him I don’t want to anymore and hung up. I have never experienced such rude customer service over the phone, which is sad because I was really looking forward to their food because it is so good! We don’t really have any pizzas like theirs around this area unless you go all the way to brooklyn. A little sad about the experience since the food is really good. Going forward will probably never order again just to avoid another...
Read moreUpdate!! I love to order plain pie with chicken and pineapple. The chicken tastes like it’s hand breaded and I love pineapple on pizza
I am very happy this new pizza place opened within a short walking distance from me. I ordered a spicy vodka square online 23.50. It was a big pie and even with 3 people we had leftovers.
We came at the time of pickup but it was not ready. While we waited we were given slices of the hot honey pizza to try. I know to not expect that every time, but it was very nice that they did that. It was crispy, flavorful and there was a mountain of pepperoni on it.
Inside the place is small. There were 2 people eating in there but mostly it looks like people take out. It’s also very grey inside, grey walls, grey floors and bright lights. Complete opposite of their warm pizza. The pizza is like a warm hug but the decoration is a bit cold. They just opened so maybe they plan to add some color in there down the line.
The spicy vodka square has a thick and fluffy crust because it’s an “upside down” pizza with the sauce on top and cheese on bottom. I did not taste one hint of spicyness or any Calabrian chili oil. Regardless we loved it. It was a big pie and even with 3 people we had leftovers.
The service gets a 10! Super friendly. And yummy pizza. I really enjoyed it and will definitely come back. I agree with the other reviews that it’s one of the best places to get...
