I've been with this driving school almost a decade ago, but I couldn't always afford classes, and I wasn't available to do my road test often which made it difficult to continue or pursue my license. The instructors I had in the past were fairly decent. Now, after a long time of not attempting to get my license, I booked few sessions with this driving school again for the summer. I was worried what the outcome would have been, but I met different instructors. The one instructor that I worked with often was Ted. I had six classes with him and he taught me very well. I learned everything I needed to know about the road. He advised me like a teacher or professor would and it was the best help I've ever had for me. I felt comfortable and safe. My new experiences of driving classes with Ted were much better results and a better outcome, compared to what I have taken years ago. I passed my road after taking six classes with Ted. I want to make sure I was ready so that I can eventually drive to work and this was the experience that I needed. I've been a teacher for almost 10 years, and the best driving classes I have experienced was working with Ted as my teacher. In a few years, I'm hoping my daughter will have the opportunity to learn from him, too. I do have to mention that unfortunately, the other instructor Wilson, I didn't have a good experience because I wasn't comfortable, I wasn't learning, and I wasn't happy. He was very difficult with his communication skills, I only drove with him for an 1 hour and that was disaster for me. I couldn't do it anymore. I can tell that he did not trust that I'm an experienced driver or that I can do well behind the wheel. Through that hour, he would brake for me and put his hand on the wheel, rather than tell me what I should be doing and break when it's very urgent. He would barely talk and explain things, and my anxiety levels peaked because of poor miscommunication. I did confront him that I need him to communicate better so that he can teach me. I paid $55 for that hour but I would rather refund cause I didn't get anything out of it and it was a waste of my time. He's not an experienced teacher and he needs better interactions with teaching. I highly recommend to monitor his teaching and communication skills if he's going to instruct further students. In my personal experience, I felt like he was a little sexist because he liked to have control of the whole situation over teaching, which I did not like and it makes him look very unprofessional. Overall, to the Providence company, I'm grateful and thankful for my experience with Ted. Because I learned the most, and the best about driving through him and I finally passed...
Read moreHands down the "Best Driving School" in the State of New Jersey. I say this because I've been to many of the so called "Great CDL schools" in both NYC and NJ. It's interesting because there's other schools in NJ that claim to be the best, but if it hadn't been for Providence Driving School in Bayonne, NJ, I would've given up on my dreams of earning my CDL A! That's because I was literally fed up with the lies from all the other CDL A schools I attended. They lied time and time again about the quality of their training, utilizing simulators (doesn't help), flashy YouTube videos with all the shiny bells and whistles. It's only after you've signed on the dotted line, get to their yard and see the crappy trucks, a bunch of guys waiting for one truck, and one MORON instructor that you realize that you were scammed out of a lot of money! That being said, take my advice. Don't sign on the dotted line unless you have shopped around. Listen, you can go to any CDL school, but if you want to be treated with respect, where your dollar is used for quality training, where you'll be prepared for the road test, and not fed a bunch of lies, there's no better place than Providence Driving School who will prepare you with everything you need to...
Read moreI cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional driving instruction I received from Ted. His patient, encouraging approach transformed what could have been a stressful learning process into a confidence-building journey that ultimately led to my successful road test.
What sets Ted apart is his remarkable ability to remain calm in all situations. Even during my early nervous mistakes, his steady patience helped me stay focused rather than becoming discouraged. He has a gift for breaking down complex maneuvers into manageable steps, using helpful tactics like memorable visualization techniques for parallel parking and junction approaches that really clicked for me.
Ted's teaching style strikes the perfect balance between supportive guidance and allowing independence. He knew exactly when to offer advice and when to let me work through challenges, building my confidence gradually but surely with each lesson. Ted helped me develop the right mindset for safe driving. Thank you so much Ted for your encouragement and patience. I not only passed my test but feel genuinely prepared for real-world driving. I would recommend Ted without hesitation to anyone seeking a driving instructor who truly cares about developing confident,...
