You know, I have been a customer for a decade with a line of credit. Yesterday I went in and purchased a mattress. First, No one came over to help. I spend half an hour alone in the mattress showroom and picked out my own mattress. I finally found a salesman who rang me up. I told him I pay on payments. He said nothing about changes to your policy. I go up to complete the paperwork and Iām told I can no longer pay in 60 months but only 18. Your employees gave no warning or info on payments. There is a big sign in the mattress area with 60 payments in bold red print. But you use bait and switch now when you pay. Doesnāt matter that Iām a good customer who has never missed a payment. Tough, get a more expensive mattress. One fifteen minute conversation changed my my entire outlook on value city. A decade of feeling that you were honest and upfront is gone. You donāt change policies on good customers who keep coming back. Iām not sure I can ever come back. You need to know for other customers that when we are loyal and get screwed we donāt just get over it. The items were not in stock however we were told that they would be coming in on Thursday. We were advised we would receive a confirmation phone call with a time window for delivery and we scheduled the delivery for Saturday 03/30/19. Got the call as promised on Thursday and that is when things went sideways. Was told that delivery could not be made until next Friday 04/05/19. When I responded that our delivery had been scheduled and I had the paperwork saying as much I was told that I was mistaken. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told, quite laughably, that no manager would be available until Saturday. Conveniently the same day that delivery was supposed to be made. Not only is it ridiculous to say that there is no manager available for 2 full days but it is insulting to my intelligence. In addition they will to cancel the order without a manager. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ordered furniture end of April 2017 and the furniture delivery was a nightmare. The delivery guys damaged our door frame and they would not delivery our sofa's to the second floor. Good thing we had contractors working on our home that day and they moved it up. We ended up paying money to our contractors for moving the furniture. Additionally, the delivery guys stated they would come back and fix the damages and they called VCF to let them know. This NEVER happened. And we called VCF numerous times.
I posted a complaint in May 2017 on facebook and finally someone from VCF messaged me. They said they would submit a report for the damages and reimburse us and additionally give us a $150 gift card.
It is now end of July and we have received neither. The gift card, I understand as it got returned to VCF because USPS is awful and never re-delivered. Hopefully VCF will send via UPS or FedEx instead. I contacted Drew regarding the damages and he is now not responding.
