Alright, buckle up, foodies, because I've just returned from a culinary journey that redefined my understanding of Mexican cuisine. Forget everything you thought you knew, because this restaurant isn't just serving food; it's weaving edible magic. Here's a breakdown of the deliciousness: The Burrito: This wasn't your average, overstuffed gut-bomb. No, this was a perfectly balanced symphony of flavors. Each ingredient sang its own note, yet harmonized beautifully with the others. The tortillas were warm and soft, and the inner ingredients were so fresh. Shrimp Tostada: Oh, the shrimp tostada! Imagine crispy, golden tostada layered with succulent, perfectly seasoned shrimp. The freshness of the shrimp was so prominent, and the toppings added a perfect zest. The textures were a delight. A true taste of the coast. Lengua Tacos: For those who dare to venture beyond the familiar, the lengua tacos are a revelation. Tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef tongue, prepared with a level of care that's evident in every bite. The seasoning was spot-on, letting the natural richness of the meat shine. Skirt Steak: The skirt steak was a masterclass in grilling. Perfectly seared, with a smoky char that gave way to a juicy, tender interior. The flavor was deep and robust, and it paired perfectly with the restaurant's house-made salsa. Guacamole: The guacamole was obviously made with perfectly ripe avocados, and the other ingredients were so fresh. It was clearly made fresh, and was very creamy. Overall Experience: Beyond the exceptional food, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, with staff eager to guide us through the menu. This restaurant isn't just a place to eat; it's an experience. This restaurant is a must-try for anyone seeking authentic, high-quality Mexican food. It's a culinary gem that deserves to be celebrated. In short, go. Just go. Your taste buds...
Read morePretty good! I like the decorations inside, and there are plenty of tables. Bathroom is clean and the wait staff are super nice. Though it took awhile for us to pay the bill on a Friday night they seemed packed with to go and delivery orders. There were only a couple of tables but the waitress was running around trying to get all the delivery orders out. We got fish tacos and Al pastor tacos. Both were decent. Complimentary chips I liked a lot. The Al pastor tacos were a little spicy, had good flavor overall and I was satisfied but nothing super special. Piled high with chopped onion and cilantro. It was supposed to come with some nopales on the side but it was just grilled green onion instead. I would have preferred cactus. Their menu is big and there are a lot of options.
Nothing wrong with this place, all in all good, but there are just so many great Mexican restaurants in Bayonne, this one doesn’t beat...
Read morevomit. I have never eaten at a worse Mexican food restaurant and Mexican food is my favorite kind of cuisine. This place is an embarrassment to all Mexican food. The restaurant should just do everyone a favor and shut down. And the customer service?! OH MY GOD. They basically just sat us down and ditched us. Sure, they took our order and had our food come out...close to an hour later even though we were the only ones in there (so what took so long??). But were our water cups ever refilled? No. Were we ever checked on? No. When we were ready for the check, NOBODY WAS THERE TO BE FOUND. My husband had to go knock on the kitchen door after SOOOOOO long of waiting just to get someone's attention so we could leave. Otherwise we would have stayed there the rest of eternity for all they cared. How this place has good reviews is beyond me. It has HORRIBLE food and even...
