Cindie's — Attraction in Beaumont

Absolutely horrible customer service. Bought a corset and specifically asked if I could return it if needed. The lady explained as long as everything was still attached no stains or odors. Went across the way to the mall and found almost the same corset with ties instead of snaps for much cheaper. Drive straight back to the Cindies for the return. When I got in the guy asked what was wrong with it and I stated I just found a different one. He went to get the lady WHO sold me the corset. She then proceeded to tell me it had to be in store credit. I told her that she didn't mention that and she said it because "I was running out while she tried to tell me the rest". I asked for a higher manager to talk to. They said they could call her but couldn't give out the number. As the man calls Molly he proceeds to take it out of the bag and smell it. Then says it smells strongly of cigars!!! I told him no one smokes cigars and I literally went from one store to the other. They asked if we smoked in the vehicle and I told them no. My husband has an axe scent booster in his air vent. I hear the man tell Molly he might be able to febreeze it. By now I'm getting even more angry. The man goes to the back of the store to speak with Molly privately for whatever reason which pissed me off even more. Then returns to tell me because of the cigar smell (that is impossible because no one freaking smokes cigars or anything in the vehicle) he can't exchange or give store credit. I bought the corset at 1:23pm and left to the mall right down the road. I returned to cindies at 3:15. Not even 2 hours later. And over an hour of that was spent in the mall. Absolutely awful. Long time reoccurring customer purchased 260.00 worth of merchandise only to get home 35 mins away to discover one of the outfits had a tear in it. I understand the return policy and also understand trying times with covid-19 so did not expect to be able to return it but I was upset enough to call to explain frustration. Store manager told us to come in no matter what she would take care of us. Once we made the trip the next day store manager placed a call to her boss who informed her if we did not have the tags she could not assist. So after being told one thing and waiting a hour of drive time both ways nothing was resolved. You would think that a 50 dollar piece of apparel wouldn't have been as much of an issue as it was but guess long term they don't care about there customers. Not only found reciept but tag as well. Also don't appreciate the condescending restating of the information I already covered in my previous email. You sold defective merchandise your Store manager attempted to correct it and you made a snap decision over 40 dollar exchange to force me as the customer to jump thru hoops. We were never instructed to bring tags or receipts when we came and explained they might be thrown away. Which again is one of the worst customer service experiences you can have for a business. Think of this in a field were e-commerce shopping is predominant and regular brick and mortar stores are on the decline. Why jeopardize your clientele over something as silly as a tag. If we make it back to beaumont within the next few weeks we will bring it to you if not we appreciate the offer and will send our business elsewhere...

I will never shop here again! This is the 2nd time in my life where I was racially profiled. Me and my friend came here October 2nd and were greeted by the staff and asked if we needed help to which we declined. We went to the back room browsing different toys when a red haired representative asked if we needed help (we clearly stated we didn’t when we first came in) and we declined. I noticed her lingering in the room (not actually working). I felt uneasy and went to a different section just to see if my intuition was right or if I was just paranoid. Just as I suspected, the other representative, also a red head with a short cut and glasses, came over and asked us the same question AGAIN. Mind you there was a couple as well as 2 other people also shopping and not once did they ask any of them if they needed help besides when they first came in. We declined now for the 3rd time and I watched her. She literally squated right behind us and pretended as if she was organizing a shelf that was already PERFECTLY ORGANIZED AND NEAT. I really couldn’t believe what was happening! After her legs got tired she got up and met with the first red head and they Literally did a code head nod!!!! I can not make this up! Like it was code, and 3 minutes later security comes out. I have been there multiple times in the paste and not once have I ever seen the security!
