I hadn't had eyelash extensions for many years but did it with Yoyo here, but unfortunately, her improper technique caused a severe allergic reaction.
Three days after the extensions were applied, I began to have an allergic reaction. On the day I noticed the reaction, I happened to be in California and had nowhere to remove them. My eyes were so swollen that I couldn't open them, and there were blisters on both the inside and outside of my upper and lower eyelids. I woke up every day with pus in my eyes, and they were extremely red. When I informed Yoyo of my reaction, she denied any wrongdoing, stating that if I had an allergic reaction, it would have happened within 12 hours of the application. I had no choice but to go to the hospital. Upon returning to Seattle, I went straight to urgent care. The doctor confirmed that I was having an allergic reaction to the glue used to attach the extensions to my eyelids. The glue was directly adhered to my eyelids, which was extremely dangerous. Anyone would have an allergic reaction under those circumstances.
I made an appointment with her to have the extensions removed on Monday. Before I went to see her, she claimed that I must have rubbed my eyes myself. How could I have rubbed my eyes when they were already so swollen? She also refused to provide me with a list of ingredients in the glue remover. During the removal process, I could feel my eyelids being pulled and tugged. She admitted that she had attached the extensions directly to my eyelids, and many of my natural eyelashes fell out as well. She did not apologize or offer a refund. Instead, she gave me a coupon for her husband's hair salon, which required a signature to be valid. This was just another attempt to push sales on me. Just do not wast...
Read moreDavid is very skilled, professional, and answered all my questions even though there was a language barrier. We mainly communicated through Google translate. I highly recommend this salon. My hair has not looked like this since I got my hair done in Korea a few years ago. I got a keratin treatment and my mom also got a perm at the same time. He uses quality products from Korea and Japan and was very polite. The location is a bit difficult to find due to some construction and the fact that you can’t see the salon from the street. Just go straight from the 124th exit from 520 and turn left into the first entrance. The shop itself is small, with only 3 chairs, but the prices and results beat any larger salon that I’ve been to. I think that it was worth it and I will be back if I need...
Read moreHad deep keratin treatment - my hair turned a bit frizzy after washing/shampooing it 2days after treatment. It was really straight after the treatment was done but wanted to wait to review after I shampoo my hair for the first time. I usually go for japanese straightening but wanted to try deep keratin since it's less damaging to the hair and I would have some volume and not just super straight hair. My hair was straight, has volume but some sections of my hair was frizzy. There was communication barrier (they mainly speak mandarin) which made it hard for me to tell them what I want but the hairstylist tried to accommodate me. They were very professional although one of them almost burned my ear from the heat of the hairdryer. Overall, I would recommend especially if you...
