Seattle Washington Temple — Attraction in Bellevue

I have to drive 45 minutes out just to go to the temple. It sucks that I have to drive that long but in the end it's all worth it. Once I arrive, I feel the spirit so strong &' I end up crying with happiness. It touches my soul &' heart just being able to see the temple. It is a beautiful and sacred place for us to feel closer to our Heavenly Father. It's so remarkable &' I can't imagine a life without it. Performing baptisms for the dead &' witnessing our loved ones get their endowments is truly a blessing god has blessed us with. Pretty soon we will have one in Tacoma which is a shorter drive for me but all in all I am just blessed. If you are a member &' haven't been there yet, you should really go ! Even if you're not a member you should still go. There are so many missionaries out here that if one doesn't keep in touch , there are more who will answer your questions about our beliefs. If you are capable of being on the grounds, take the time to meditate and find some peace. It truly is a lovely place. If you're a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later day Saints, and you are working on becoming approved by your local leaders to enter the temple; just know, this is the house of the Lord. Be respectful and reverent and keep your mind and heart open. We whisper or keep a very hushed tone to our voices inside these buildings so give others the same respect and for all to be able to worship thier God.

This is my invitation to anyone who wants to know more, to ask a member what they need to do to enter this holy place. If you talk to our missionaries you will find the right path for that to work.

All in all, a lovely experience. Totally worth the effort...

I have really been struggling with my faith recently so I came to the temple to walk around, pray, and read my BOM. I have an active recommend but haven’t been tithing so I didn’t want to be disrespectful by going inside. I came for clarity and to get an answer from Heavenly Father on if the church was true or not, So, it was incredibly disheartening that I was followed by a man in a blue shirt the entire time I was there yesterday. He kept staring at me from a distance then sat down not even 50 feet across from me, a woman alone. I have no idea who this man was but it terrified me. I wasn’t doing anything wrong to warrant this.
