Women shoot free on Mondays! +|- Below: Pros: ++ $25 gets you a swap & try any firearm rental-pass! (You buy your ammo) ++ Huge selection of hardware! Reasonable range fees. Polite knowledgable staff. Great hours. +Clean ranges. Plenty of space. Very affordable ammo for use in the range. ++++ As a outwardly Gothic guy, Iâve received nothing but courtesy and respect from the Staff at WCA. The know me by name and treat me like a valued customer. Itâs why I continue to make the drive up from Graham to do business with them.
Cons: - The pro shop and range do not share the same FFL (the receiving shop in front cannot show you the functionality of an item in the range).
Edit: (this was a one-off event handled promptly by management and does not account for the loss of 1 star) - - One overzealous Range Safety Officer harassed my mother & I, while I was showing her how to operate her new LCP2(.380). I had seen the RSO staring us down since he came into the Range Bays. And despite several other groups of people exchanging firearms without clearing them or observing their angle of discharge, the RSO decided the âGothic looking guyâ teaching trigger discipline to his 65yo old mother, was clearly the more urgent concern.
Iâve been handling firearms since I was 8yo, and grew up in Alaska. I own BATFE approved Form-4 Hardware with which I have allowed the WCA Range staff to try themselves, specifically my FNX.45 & AAC TiRant Suppressor. I have hundreds of thousands of rounds in Range-Time across my then 25+ years of ownership. And I handle and operate each and every firearm as if itâs loaded with no safety. Needless to say, my attitude and approach to firearm safety would exceed anyoneâs expectations.
The RSO saw a person dressed in a manner he didnât like, and targeted us with a demeaning and pointless Q&A about the very basics of using a pistol. All of which were already being demonstrated.
Iâve spent a lot of time at the Range and have previously and since, experienced nothing but respect and kindness from the other RSOâs and Range Staff. Management took my motherâs complaint seriously and listened with intent. They gave a genuine apology and ensured her the RSO would be spoken to and further incidents would not happen again. Iâm rather used to that sort of thing and brushed it off. But sheâs âThat Boomerâ.. So what can ya do.
This story was included to ensure people of alternative appearance can choose to use this range and shop knowing that the staff and shop do not condone this sort of behavior from their RSOâs. If you feel youâve been targeted because of your appearance, please do not hesitate to speak to the range counter staff or Senior Range Safety Officer when available.

Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this store today when attempting to purchase a firearm. The price tag clearly listed $499 , and the staff verbally confirmed this price. After spending nearly 1.5 hours in the store while they completed my background check and paperwork, I was finally at the point of paymentâonly for them to suddenly tell me that the price was actually $40 more, admitting that they had mistakenly listed the wrong price on the tag.
One staff member initially offered to waive the $20 background check fee as compensation for their mistake. However, when the store manager, Ramon, finally came over after another long wait, he was dismissive, did not apologize, and instead told me, "You can either pay the extra amount or leave." He refused to honor the previous offer to waive the background check fee and instead insisted on giving me two free boxes of ammo instead.
When I suggested a compromiseâpaying the extra $40 if they would at least waive the background check fee and provide just one box of ammoâhe refused and said, "There's no difference." If there was truly "no difference," then why not do it the other way, especially when they had already offered to waive the background check fee earlier?
Even worse, Ramon dismissed their pricing error and my nearly 2-hour wait as a "very small mistake." After spending so much time in the store, I was frustrated that they changed the price only at checkout, after I had already gone through the entire process. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, Ramon tried to justify it by saying his staff also spent time on my paperworkâas if doing their job was an excuse for misleading pricing. Then he bluntly told me I could leave if I didnât want to pay the extra $40.
To be clear, this store has a lot of security cameras, so everything Iâm saying can easily be verified. If they claim otherwise, they should check their own footage.
The range staff here was much more professional and friendly when I previously took a class and being a member for one year, which initially made me think this was a trustworthy store. However, after this experience, my opinion has completely changed. Be very careful with their price tags, as you might end up paying more after investing significant time completing paperwork and background checks.
Interestingly, I came across another customer review from several years ago who reported being tricked into paying an additional $40 due to unclear or misleading charges. It seems this issue has been happening for years, which makes me wonder if this is a pattern.
Additionally, based on other reviews, itâs clear that most of the positive feedback is for the range and classes, while the retail store consistently receives negative reviews for poor customer service and unclear pricing practices. Be very cautious when shopping here.

Read moreYou know the ol' saying, "you get what you pay for"? WCA is a prime example of that. The location is tucked away in a dead end street in Factoria - the exterior of the building looks pretty discreet. As you step inside the store front, I wouldn't necessarily say it's awe-striking but they do have quite a good selection of the latest and great handguns and rifles. They also have a good selection of your every day shooting accessories (ear and eye protection, gun maintenance, safes, holsters, ammo). In a smaller glass case, you can find a few stocks and fore-ends for shotguns, triggers for guns/rifles and even a few silencers as well. The staff is full and knowledgeable with just about any question you can throw at them. Stepping back into the Indoor Range area - you get a James Bond kind of feel. The bright lit hallways, white walls and floors just makes you feel like you're in a movie or actual training of some sort. The staff here are utmost professional and very clear on safety first. Initially I wasn't excited knowing I have to pay $25/year (basic membership) to shoot here and on top of that pay an additional $15 range fee every visit. They have multiple options of memberships which allows you to have more perks/benefits when you do come, but it comes with a price $300/year for a better membership, $725 for a lifetime membership - but still having to pay range fees. Or you can mac-daddy out for $1200 for a Platinum membership that waives fees and gives you free gun rentals and other perks as well. There is a great selection of handguns and rifles to rent, a good selection of targets to buy as well. Going down the hall to to the range bays has an array of movie and video game posters signed by (i'm assuming creators and design team). We were bumped up to range #2 which has automated targets and wider lanes so it was very comfortable, very clean, ample lighting and you can feel the difference in air quality due to top notch OSHA approved ventilation. This isn't the cheapest place to shoot with it being a members only range - but as mentioned in the beginning, you get what you pay for. A top notch facility with top notch staff. They are a bit further than my local range but with my purchase of the basic annual membership already and the quality of their lanes/facility, I'll be back...
