I had the unfortunate experience to contracting Wipliance for a custom home project on Mercer Island. They were responsible for all low voltage pre-wiring including sound system, data points, security, fire sprinklers, home theater pre-wire and wap. For a company that classifies under “smart home” they are far from it. The sales team and leadership has very little knowledge about the future of smart home technology and is only interested in providing pre-determined archaic packages. I reached out to the owner several times and only heard back from him once to tell me his sales team is the best in the industry and my complaints cannot be valid. At the end of process I even reached out again several times and no response. As a business owner it tells a lot when you don’t show interest in your customers. There were even several times during the process where I had to inform or teach their team on technology. One of many examples is that I requested a specific alarm panel and system which they were unable to figure out, even after I personally researched and told them it was possible. They ended up charging me an absurd amount of money to utilize their own system instead of working with their customer. After the house was complete I reached out to Absolute Security who was able to confirm and implement the system I wanted for half the cost of what Wipliance charged me. At the end of the day, Wipliance is a “there way or the highway” type of company with no interest in working in partnership with their customers. They are only interested in building a business model that charges you monthly to monitor equipment that only they can access. UPDATED - I'll provide another update after the work is complete. However, the new account manager, Addison, with the initial involvement of Lee Travis (owner) have turned things around. I now have hope that things will work out with Wipliance for the long run. Fingers crossed...
We had a really frustrating experiences with these guys. Sean, the first rep, was dismissve after his team failed to complete an "upgrade" of our server. Turns out that the server was 3 years old and not a genuine upgrade. Additionally, when their team cut the wifi connection, which was supposed to go out for less than a couple hours, they left the project incomplete on a Friday afternoon. Why? Because Pi was running late to a project on Mercer Island. Wow. Way to make a customer feel like you're taking care of them... Not. Wipliance had not even plugged back in smart home plugs so that our garage door wouldn't open. It was a simple act, but they were just too rushed to get out of our house.
Fast forward to a month ago. I thought that maybe we just had bad luck with some unprofessional people. The latest rep seemed like a breath of fresh air and promised to get us estimates for upgrades to out Lutron system and AV/home theater system. That was almost three weeks ago. Yes, I emailed and even called to make sure that the rep wasn't super sick. When I called today, the person who answered said that he would call me "right back after his meeting." Guess what? Instead, hours later, I'm taking time...
Read moreWiPliance is great! My wife and I recently purchased a new home and upon moving in, determined that we wanted to upgrade the current home entertainment system that currently in place. Given we like to entertain and are pretty adamant football fans, we wanted a setup that would allow for both. In addition, we are currently expecting a baby girl so we had to be very careful with our budget while not losing out on quality. WiPliance delivered on both! From the start they were fantastic to work with. They were very helpful in recommending a system that would allow us to get the high quality experience while aligning that to the initial budget we had in mind. We've now had the system in place for just over a month and couldn't be happier. The sleek look and placement of the TV is perfect for the size and shape of the room we have. We also love the floating audio cabinet they installed, looks perfect in our home. I would highly recommend WiPlaince to anyone that is considering a new home entertainment set up for their home.
