I had an appointment yesterday for a color, cut and style. I have silver hair, and wanted it blended, and a bob cut with side swept bangs. The stylist explained to me that adding dark hair would ruin the silver because it would bleed on to the lighter hair, making it look « muddy ». I was fine with having dimension another way. I primarily wanted my gray blended, dimension, movement, and shine. Basically make my hair better by maintaining it’s strength and health. My hair hasn’t been colored in awhile, and it was very strong. The stylist commented on it’s strength. So, she started with a healthy « canvas ». She decided to make very tiny highlights all over my entire head. I don’t know how many there were, but she worked on that for over an hour. She worked hard. There is no disputing that. We did go over my expectations very thoroughly. I provided a photo of the cut. Having said that, she began cutting another clients hair while I was processing. This was totally fine, as they had scheduled me very last minute. I had my hair in the bowl for probably 45 minutes. She came over and checked my hair and quickly removed the foils. She then put the toner on, and I stayed with my hair in the bowl for another half hour or so. When she took me back to her chair, I was absolutely horrified. Now, I have had pretty much EVERYTHING done to my hair in the past. I have even done whole head bleaching myself. It has NEVER looked like this. We discussed at the beginning that it might take two appointments to get my hair to the desired lift. No problem. To me, that meant she was trying to do this in as healthy a manner as possible. My hair was stark white where my natural silver is…she kept that out of the foils, I think. The rest is a streaky orange tint. There is noticeable purple from the toner. The ends look like DAMAGED HAY. I figured that was ok, as she was going to cut and style it. The color , though, was abysmal. I am going to be patient with that. She began drying my hair. Hmm. Before cutting it at all? Ok. She is the pro. Trust the process. She literally cut about 10 millimeters off the end. Straight across. The ends were the only part she touched. She was then FINISHED. I was bewildered. I asked how she suggested I style it. She asked me if I have ever USED A CURLING IRON. Of course I have! She then proceeded to put two half assed curls in. One on either side of my face. I just kept waiting for the haircut. Nope. She was finished. She ushered me out. I purchased the suggested products. She made me an appointment for my second bleaching. ( I have naturally dark blonde hair). I paid over $300.00 for this nightmare. I realize she invested time and products. I understand that I need to compensate her. The manager ( I think that is who she was) stared at my hair in amazement. She asked if I was satisfied. I just smiled and weakly said « sure ». I was just shocked. I drove home, and found myself crying in my car. That is not like me AT ALL. I got home, and my husband just stared. I was getting mad by this point. I showed him the pic of the cut. He said, « did she even cut it? ». I called and told them how upset I was. The manager asked if I could come back in right then. I had just driven over twenty miles back home. So, I am going back in today at noon. I just expect a decent cut today. I realize we have to wait for the rest. Depending on today’s outcome, I might just cut my losses and go elsewhere. I will update later, hopefully I can raise my rating. ETA: I returned, and everything was fixed. Kass was amazing, and together, we made sure we understood what was desired. The second color service was done, and the color is REMARKABLE. I highly recommend Shelley’s and Kass. If something isn’t right, they go the extra mile to communicate with you and to do their best to solve...

Thanks for sending such a lovely email! Unfortunately I was kicked out as soon as I walked inside due to having an infant that was so disrupting. I'm so glad that yall are so strict with policies that are literally like terms and conditions that you have to click off on like every single other website. Maybe try putting this policy on your website or in the voicemail loud and clear. So that way no one has to embarrass themselves in a place where you are supposed to feel beautiful!! It was a completely honest mistake and now the mistake is on yall. I will forever share this experience with anyone and everyone. As a hairdresser myself I take pride in serving women and moms that need a break. This situation could have been handled with grace but clearly you care about profiting and stealing money from people. Also yall clearly don't care about the actual stylist making money because the deposit will not go to her because I put it towards a pair of shoes I did not want. So I can't wait to see all your responses on all my reviews/social media posts I share. Or no responses!
The “no children under 12” rule was technically disclosed — but only buried in fine print during checkout. It was not clearly displayed on the salon’s website, booking pages, or anywhere else a reasonable client would expect to see it.
Under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (§ 17.46(b)(24)), a business cannot fail to disclose important information in a way that misleads consumers. When a policy is hidden in fine print and not made obvious, it’s unfair and deceptive — because no reasonable person would book a service they knew they couldn’t actually receive.
For a salon that claims to be a Top 100 Kérastase Salon, this experience was unprofessional and disappointing. Moms deserve compassion, not to be turned away and forced into a...
Read moreHad two back to back services. First time I went I left with completely uneven hair that was a mix of orange, icy blonde, brown with it being extremely stripey. Not to mention my hair felt super dry. I reached out to the stylist to fix it. And I left with something even worse. Not only is my hair extremely dry and fragile now, but it is completely uneven. I don’t even feel comfortable going somewhere else to have someone fix it due to the state it’s in. Having paid almost $400 for my hair it’s very disappointing to have such ugly hair. When reaching out to management they were quick to point the finger back to me and asked “what products I use at home” having been a hairstylist in California for 6 years and just moving to Texas I have only used professional products on my hair. The first time I got my hair done I did wait a couple weeks to reach back out due to not being sure I wanted to even go back. But having spent almost $400 I felt like I needed to. Management tried blaming the time passed for my hair color. But being a hairstylist I’m very much aware that “time” doesn’t change the fact that my hair was striped from incorrect application. Management offered for me to come back again to a more experienced stylist to fix it. Unfortunately I don’t trust this salon enough to have them touch my hair. I’m extremely disappointed in this salon and Management for making it seem as to this is my Fault and I wouldn’t recommend anyone going there. Paying close to $400 for terrible hair and now being stuck with it and having to wait for it to get in better shape to then again go and spend more money to get it fixed it is just...
