Very poor communication about the membership. The first time I came in with my sister and I wanted the peak membership so that I can bring in a guest and also have free tanning. The employees said that all of that was included in the membership so I signed up with my sister as my guest and we both worked out and went tanning afterwards which was great. And they told me that my membership was only 30$ a month for the peak membership which was totally fine with me. Then, the second time I come in with my sister apparently I didnāt even have the peak membership and even with the peak membership there are no guests allowed with that membership. So therefore I was upset, but I still wanted to go tanning and so did my sister so I upgraded to the peak and got my sister her own peak so that she can go tanning as well. Due to all this confusion I decided that I was going to cancel my membership because I felt like I was lied too. I spoke with the general manager who did not want to give me her name after I asked several times which I had to find out from somebody else that her name was Jasmine. I tried to speak with Jasmine about canceling my membership due to what had happened with the poor communication and management skills and she was completely rude about the situation, did not even let me speak on what I had to say, and had a very bad attitude with me. It was very hard to keep it civil and professional with her due to how disrespectful she was. Not only was her managing skills very poor, I was also being charged for a year which I had no idea about because I thought I was only getting charged 30$ monthly. They also did not explain to me about an annual fee that you need to pay even if you are getting charged monthly or yearly. Jasmine did not care to hear my complaints about the bad communication skills that had happened because to her it is a āhe or she sayā situation and I already signed my contract so therefore, she could careless on what I had to say. She kept telling me that she was going to give me a deal instead of paying $304.80 for the yearly (which I didnāt even know I had). She was going to charge me $84 instead (for the monthly). I was very unhappy with the way everything came out and on top of that her attitude was extremely poor. I wanted to speak to cooperate. I asked her for the cooperateās number and she told me no because this is āher storeā and only she handles things like this. She only told me his name which I believe is Chris. I also asked for her name as well and she did not give me it. I was definitely disappointed at the employees who had signed me up for giving me false information, but itās definitely understandable due to who they have as a manager. Jasmine who apparently owns Crunch Fitness since this is āher storeā made not only the Bensalem area look bad, but the entire Crunch Industry look horrible. My experience and outlook on Crunch Fitness is ruined and never in a million years will I ever come back here. I asked to speak to management, and I spoke with Alyssa, who told me she couldnāt do anything about it because everyone was canceling because of Covid. All she could do was freeze my membership, and wait to charge me the fee in March. I agreed, with the hopes that things may get better by then, or they would just be understanding at let me cancel without charging me the fee. At the end of December, they charged my husband and I with that $60 fee.i repeatedly emailed Alyssa asking why they already charged my card, she never responded to me. I called, and spoke which someone who spoke with Alyssa for me, instead of her just talking to me. I told them I wanted her to call me. She called me two days later and said I had to cancel at least 60 days before the end of the year for them to not charge me that fee... we joined at the end of October. She had no explanation for why they already charged me, when I had it in writing that they wouldnāt charge me until March. His friend from high school worked there and told me multiple times it was $180 for the year plus a 1 time membership fee. My wife took interest and I pulled the trigger and decided $180 wasn't bad for a year. Confirmed with my sons friend once again it was $180 and he stated no membership fee for whatever reason which was awesome! Later in the evening I transferred the funds to checking and seen I was charged $420! Regular membership is indeed $180 and premium is $420. I didn't agree to anything above 180, and nobody mentioned anything about premium when signing up. Contacted them the next morning and the manager Joe was very disrespectful and rude. Put words in mouth about wanting premium and because I wanted to bring a guest, it's automatically premium which I wasn't informed whatsoever. Membership is 180 but to bring my wife once a week is additional $240? Nothing makes sense, 2 memberships would be $360𤣠and I'm being charged more than double. This is illegal, bait and switch . Aka FRAUD! Joe then told me I was no longer welcome and my membership will be deactivated and won't be getting a refund.
