Wallace Lake — Attraction in Berea

My family and friends have lots of fun. But last time we went the did not check the bathrooms and the ran out of toilet paper in the woman's room and it was not a extremely a hot day however it was the weekend and there was staff working that's why I was surprised that the handicap stall was both of them out of toilet paper and the majority of people that go to Wallace Lake are children and women and yes there are men and young boys but the young boys go in the woman's room when they're with a single mother majority of the time that is the point I am making and a side note when you have to sign up for honey Hut on the outside you need to put the time for the hours when you close I did not see any hours on the sign so I did not know what time you close cuz I was busy taking care of the food watching the table...

I was not happy with the lakes dept of handling our bad experience. After 2 months of battling for a refund the plan was to mail a check to recover our costs due to a sinking boat that dumped us in the lake. Well.. that check has never made it's way to me. I never received any check or refund as promised. Sad a place takes advantage of others and their money even after a paddle boat sank in lake with me and my daughter and we never got a full outing or my money. Many phone calls took place to rectify this issue and was lied to about a check they would send to recover my costs for my loss. I expected more from a state park but I guess I should have known better....

For more than a decade, our church has held baptisms at this park, and it has always been a special place for us. This time, what a wonderful surprise to see the recent renovations! Everything looked beautiful and welcoming. After the baptism, our congregation enjoyed a picnic together, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better. The surrounding areas were spotless, the vending area offered plenty of options, and, as always, the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. This park continues to be a blessing for our community and now looks better...
