Wallace Lake Park

Great little beach for young children. The sandy area is accessible by a few ramps at the far sides, but that can be a bit of a walk. Most people seemed to just go up and down via the embankment or curb. The parking lot is decent but coming from South Quarry, it was tough to see that there was a separate entrance and exit. There are numerous lifeguards on duty who are very serious about safety. The lake is separated into a shallow and deep end. I saw the restrooms and sign for Honey Hut, but didn't have occasion for them on my visit. I will update if I avail myself of these services in the future. We went two days after a big rainstorm, and the sand was still quite wet - perfect for making sandcastles, but probably advisable to have a chair and not just towels in that case. Above the beach area is a park area with grass and benches. The entire area was extremely clean. I didn't notice any stray trash.
